I wish the best for You and your Family.

Quick question though, are open to homeopathic therapy/treatment or are you sticking with your current situation with the Hospital?

Stay strong.

My mom just went through stem cell/bone marrow transplant to treat her cancer. She's home now and getting better. You can make it man. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.
My dad underwent the same treatment about a year ago and he has made pretty good recovery, his spine shrunk tho but that could have been because they caught the cancer in later stage.

Thank you guys! Your words have been very motivating...

I wish the best for You and your Family.

Currently, I am going through with doctor's orders and procedures. Any word on homeopathic therapy?

We love you, bro.

As someone who is involved in a program to help others find a match for bone marrow transplants, I really have no idea what it's like on the other end. You guys are the true heroes who have to endure this journey in and out of the hospital, putting life on hold to deal with something out of your control. Life is strange--whatever it is, you are a hero in my eyes and with the strength you exhibit in this post for your family and yourself, you give the world hope.

We will fight with you. Handle that, brother. Head up high

OP were there any symptoms?

Yes, which is a story of it's own-
It started with short abdominal pains that would last no more than a few minutes to few hours. At that moment, it was pretty much, "Must have been something I ate". As we recall, I had to two of these occasions within a two /three week period, so I didn't think much of it.

A few weeks later, I started to get these same pains again. However, this time they were a lot sharper and more consistent. I called them "rolling pains" as I could feel them coming and going about every 30 mins or so. Some were greater than others, guess you can say "contraction-like". I knew something was not right, so we headed to the ER on the very first day of these pains. After being checked, I was told the pains were coming from "gases" and bowel-movement associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Immediately I was told to follow a LOWFOD MAP diet plan, take probiotics, manage any stress, and simply relax a bit as there is no real cure for IBS. On this occasion, the pains continued for about 3 days total but tapered off somewhat. After following these orders and changed my diet, I lost maybe 15 lbs pretty quick.

The following week, we headed to my primary physician who I only saw maybe once a year for cold symptoms. Basically was told the same. "You're too young (38), keep following the diet, don't eat this, don't eat that. Just relax!. Take a few days off work". I was getting the pains maybe once/twice a week but did what he said. Often I paid too much attention to what I ate, so I started to eliminate those foods I thought were causing the pains. Other days, I was at ease and wouldn't feel a thing. My weight continued to drop.

The movements continued off and on, but were now accompanied by loud gushing and gurgling sounds coming from my stomach/intestines. Louder and sharper every time I ate. At this point, I was eating very little because I began to feel "full" quickly and "heavy"- mainly liquids, certain fruits, and easy to digest foods. We wasted no time and saw two gastroenterologists (GI) doctors. Luckily we did because "Yes, you guessed it!" one asked me to follow the same LOWFOD MAP diet once again and held any further actions- while the other went ahead and ordered CT scans, blood work, and immediate followups. Thank God!

Quickly, CT scans revealed that a mass the size of a lime was beginning to obstruct my small intestine. Luckily, it did not form a complete blockage, however, this was the cause of the pains, bowel-movements, and sounds I was experiencing all along. I had surgery in mid- July to remove the mass and part of my small intestine which I am still recovering from. A biopsy was performed and results came back with the diagnosis.

I can easily ponder on what should have been done as I first visited the doctors. However, I have learned to understand and only move forward in faith and strength daily.

Thanks brother!
It's hard, but it's faith, your children, wife, family, and motivation that keep you "fighting"!
