It's preseason, right? Can anyone explain to me a 9 man rotation in preseason that doesn't play 2 kids that need live floor time to learn?

We weren't playing for a win, no Paul, Billups, Odom, Hill, Kobe or D12. It was a glorified scrimmage, why would you not play two kids, but you do play the 60th pick in the draft?

Anyone?

Definitely can't argue that.......I mean why not play Morris/Glock/DJO. I'd be highly disappointed if all 3 of them don't get solid minutes tomorrow :smh:

Brown scandalous for that one. I actually wanted to see what all this DJO hype was about. |I

And we've saved a spot to pick up Fisher in the future so that he can be reclaim his title as worst PG on the Lakers.

at the game so many people were getting pisst at dwight.

Also i notice jamison just sits and waits at the 3

I believe DJO was cut, was he not? So him not playing is explained.

Morris and Goudelock, ummm......

Nah, none of them have been cut. Brown just isn't playing them. I think DJO and Drew might get cut :smh:

The Lakers look good, but how in the hell will they guard quick PGs? Nash is a matador and Duhon & Blake aren't what you'd call great defenders.

It's not looking good 5 days before the season kicks off SMH.. :smh:

The first regular season Los Angeles Lakers game scheduled to air on Time Warner Cable's new SportsNet channel is just a week away and the cable company still does not have any distribution deals with other pay-TV providers in the region.

If Time Warner Cable doesn't get deals done soon, millions of Lakers fans will be missing a lot of basketball.

On Wednesday, Cox Cable, which has 1.2 million subscribers in Southern California, primarily in Orange County and San Diego, said its offer to carry SportsNet and Time Warner Cable's Spanish-language sports channel Deportes on a specialty tier along with other sports channels was rebuffed.

"We are committed to meeting the needs of all Cox customers, not just sports fans," Cox said in a statement, adding that "the price for the Lakers is one of the highest wholesale prices that we have seen."

Time Warner Cable is seeking as much as $3.95 per-month, per-subscriber for the two channels. The two channels launched Oct. 1. Besides the Lakers, SportsNet and Deportes also carry the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team. Time Warner Cable is also expected to pursue rights to the Dodgers, whose contract with Fox's Prime Ticket regional sports channel expires after next season.

"I think it is extremely expensive for basically a one-team channel," said Dave Bialis, senior vice president of Cox's California operations.

Although Cox offered to make the two channels available on an a la carte basis, Time Warner Cable has consistently said that it wants the channels available to as many homes as possible and not sold separately.

"We’d like to see flexibility in the offering and allow our customers to have more say," Bialis said.

A Time Warner Cable spokesman did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

For Time Warner Cable, the channels are a big bet. The company acquired the rights to the Lakers in a $3-billion, 20-year deal. Previously, the Lakers had been carried primarily by Fox Sports West, which is another regional sports network owned by Fox.

Besides Cox, the other major distributors that Time Warner Cable needs to have on board include satellite broadcasters DirecTV and Dish Network.

SportsNet and Deportes will carry 53 of the Lakers' 82 games. The rest are national games that will be telecast by ESPN, TNT and ABC.

I'd like to see a lineup of Nash, Meeks, Ebanks, Jamison, Howard get 2 separate 6 minute spans together.

Would be such a poignant offense for our second unit.

If the Mavs let Delonte go, I'd like LA to pick him up to solidify the bench backcourt, instead of going after the corpse of Derek Fisher.

why did morris and glock not play? because they are terrible.

"mike brown needs to coach less"

"mike brown neesd to coach more by putting in subs"

which one is it, guys? he gave minutes to the guys who will be in OUR ROTATION and still need time to gel. ebanks, sacre, hill, jamison, meeks.

and yall complaining about morris and glock who did NOTHING in summer league against less competition.

It's a losing battle bro...don't even sweat it.
One minute people want one thing, the next they want another.

We are very fortunate to be fans of such a great franchise. But unfortunately, our fan base is the MOST spoiled fan base in all of sports.
It comes with the territory. You can't be great by being content i suppose, so we always somehow want more.
Our bench isn't pretty, but no bench in the world will be pretty when you have the starting line up that we have. WE CANT AFFORD A BETTER BENCH. I don't know how to explain that to some people. This isn't an olympic or all-star team, we cant have super stars coming off the bench when we already have a handful starting. :smh:

Personally I'm happy with the moves we made, and instead of asking for more help or more trades, i think its time to just start the season and play our hardest. We have the pieces, we just gotta play hard and we'll win. We really dont need more, hell we cant even afford more. But whatever, some people still want more. Just gotta learn to live with it.

I love what Im seeing from Ebanks. Looks like he's finally feeling comfortable out there and being aggresive.

Maybe Im being too optimistic, but Im not worried about this team at all.
