Whole bunch of ppl thought it was too soon and the wrong move but a lot of were labeled DC haters or grouped as the ppl that want to hate these movies before seeing them.

There's a multitude of reasons, but I think being in the middle of the latest MCU movie and Star Wars is a huge deal too. Maybe not for DC fans, but the way these movies make big money is by getting most of their money from the casual audience. Those are 2 franchises that will never lose a box office competition.

Part of why SS did so well is cuz it came out in an August with no competition.
Fox just dropped Deadpool in Feb hoping for the best and it overperformed on several levels.
Somebody else mentioned it but DC had their chance to push JL back to August or September when the only competition they had was Dark Tower and Kingsman.
And yeah things have only gotten tighter since SW came back.

WW is by far the best thing to happen to the DCEU. It sucks WW got to be dragged into the mud by the rest of its universe.

My ideal vision would be Deathstroke killing Ben Affleck Batman and Flash doing his Flashpoint thing to have a new Bats.
