Finally seen Justice League last night, the things I liked I REALLY liked, the things I disliked I REALLY disliked. I swear if it wasn't for BvS this could of been an excellent movie, but it had to tie back to it to some extent.. Flash was a little annoying but he's bearable, doubt I will watch his solo flick whenever its made. Cyborg literally came out of nowhere, he has practically zero backstory, if you weren't paying attention in BvS you would have no idea who he was or why he fused with a mother box. I dont even know what accident he had or how his mom died. Jason is clearly having the time of his life playing Aquaman, although he had the same issue of Cyborg with zero backstory. That bubble **** was so stupid. I did like the fact they atleast touched on Batman's age, he's clearly setting up Wonder Women so he can leave (If he was younger this wouldn't need to happen). When yall say butt shots I assumed it was in costume, I cant really knock Whedon/Snyder for that. Gadot is sexy, no matter what angle she's shot at, what do you expect to happen when she's in leather pants. The scene with Flash was overstated too. I swear if I didn't hear about beforehand I wouldn't of even noticed it.
Steppenwolf was fine, he looked and was powerful and racked up a body count. Thats all I needed from him, I'm not sure who mother is (Granny Goodness?) but did people expect him to be the Joker or some ****? Nah, he's here to pose a threat, thats it. The flashback scene was nice though. Good to know the Lanterns exist in this universe. Superman/Cavill was ******* amazing, he was the highlight of the whole film. I dont think he took blow the entire film, once he woke up he was looking like Tyson in his prime in the ring. I was kind of thrown off by how quickly he integrated with the team, dude was killing em in one scene then 15 minutes later he's calling Flash a slowpoke and shooting one liners with Cyborg (which was odd as well since Cyborg was brooding damn near the whole film). Again, this could of been avoided if he aint die in the first place, but yall know how I feel about that. When did Diana get so close with Clark as well? She knew his birth name and spoke with him as if they were best friends when he got resurrected, even knew the name of his home planet. Anyone notice the cops when Louis showed up? Doesn't that mean Superman's identity is known now, I mean they called him Clark a few times right in front of the police.
Seeing the last team shot, this film did give me hope for the future of the DCEU. If they can rectify a few glaring mistakes (cant WAIT to see how they justify Clark coming back to life to his coworkers, he even wore the same disguise) then they can really be successful. I'm not a CGI expert but aside from the very first scene with the kids (Why?) Superman's face didn't look THAT bad. They have got to get a younger Batman though. No way they can go against Darkside and him survive. Still not a fan of Luthor, Deathstroke cant save that. The race was pretty cool too even though I would've liked for Superman to had ran as well. I had very low expectations for this movie and I was pleasantly surprised. This may have been slightly more enjoyable than Man of Steel and WAAAAYYYYY better than BvS (any cut)
at pet cemetery though.
