Yeezus rarely had any music and people hated it but if you look at rap production today it's distorted 808's/hi hats and stuttering gross beat'd out electronic noise. That's the direction the game is going towards.
Ironically that is what composes most of Future's production when he collabs with 808 Mafia or Metro and thus is the direction the rap game is going. even though lex and Southside was doing that sound way before Yeezus.
Listen to Lil Uzi's beats or 56 Nights/DS2. Rap instrumentals are getting more cluttered and getting harder to convert to piano, it's bass and electronic noise, less melody and actual music, a la Yeezus.
Yeezus was Ye's take on that sound.

Low key, when I was 17 I had a Southpole sweater that looks and fitted just like this one.
Used to wear it with some wallably Lugz and ripped jeans.
Females outside the hood went crazy. Like international students, 00's Grunge and Punk crowd.
However, when I wore it in the hood I got a totally different reaction.
People were asking me if I was still working.
...I didn't get offended though. I was setting trends.
