I disagree. A lot of fans are looking for a new avenue of FPS and with the promo's that EA has been doing for Battlefield...They can definitely intensify the rivalry.

at %%%@%$ mechanics. People hated BFBC 2 multiplayer because of the realistic physics. Of course Battlefield isn't going to sell as well as CoD, that's a given but when gameplay is compared BFBC 2 > MW2 and BO. No Rambo's running around. You had to work as a team or you wouldn't win a single game.

CoD franchise will always outsell battlefield because its a hype machine and simple to pick up and play.

How exactly that makes it a better game is beyond me.

well its predecessor is one of the greatest first person shooters of all time. if they build off of what brought them success in battlefield 2, this game will take a dump all over mw3.

What do you mean without people playing? There are still thousands of people playing battlefield 2 which came out 6 years ago. People will be playing BF3 just as long.

What do you mean without people playing? There are still thousands of people playing battlefield 2 which came out 6 years ago. People will be playing BF3 just as long.

Battlefield series has some fundamental flaws that prevent it from being great to core and casual gamers alike. I don't care about tickets, I don't care about capturing points. Can I get a traditional death match mode? There should be a traditional team death match mode with corresponding smaller based maps. The maps are usually too big. You run for miles upon miles only to get sniped or gunned down by a spawning enemy whilst trying to capture a flag/point. Now what? do it again.

EA makes you GRIND heavy for good weapons. I fear that a large part of the reason they are out of reach to the casual player is.. EA makes good money from selling the upgrades. Reaching the max level of a prestige on CoD is so much easier than high leveling in BFBC2.

The last BF I enjoyed was 2142 on the PC. Why? Because I felt like I actually had control over my assault rifle.
