I will say this though, we may not get holiday bonuses in the military but we do have crazy holiday parties where gifts range from 2-year gym memberships and flatscreens and I know for a fact this year, a PS4 and Xbox One will be given away.

We'll get two weeks pay, but since that's taxed at 50% they also give us a 500 dollars visa gift card. Also there's an actually gift they give out each year. Last year we got Apple TVs. We got a deal with Apple, so we're thinking that this year we're getting iPad Minis. They never tell us what were getting until the company Christmas party.

damn brah

I'd rather take the cash :lol

Last year I got a Tissot watch, See's Candies giftcard, and some cider :lol

not sure about this year.

It was a good year for my company cause we released a Declared Vintage Wine that boosted our total revenue about 2.5 million above last year, so I've been told to expect a pretty nice bonus. My annual salary is 32K in SF, so I'm really looking forward to paying off a grip of my student loans with the Mula.

I'm a cook.... got a check for G last near and C note that said "drinking" on it.... almost shed a tear....

Applying for IB jobs in Florida and Texas. That's ridiculous man... Smh...
IB being investment banking? or..

Depends on what the yearly numbers look like and how well I performed. I don't get my bonuses until March though.

Here are my bonus numbers from the last 2 years:

1st year: $80,000 including signing bonus of $10,000
2nd year: $110,000 including completion of 2-year program bonus of $20,000

This years bonus (projection): $160,000 including signing bonus of $20,000

Taxes kill me every year though. New York State takes about 30% of bonus :{

Time to get off NT and into PE.

Side note, but what sort of hours are you working? I have a few friends in PE that are pulling about half of those bonuses, but only working 50 hours a week :x

My new job doesn't do bonuses, instead they do end of the year sellback. :{

But whatever, I guess it's better than nothing. Basically let's us sell back 24hrs of either sick time, vacation time or comp. time or all 3.

Comes out to be around $3,500 after taxes if I sell back all 72 hours.

You don't want an IB position in Florida or Texas :lol Might as well not even do it.

San Francisco would be the only other place to really see those kind bonus numbers like you see in NY.

Yes, Investment Banking

I work around 50-60 hours a week within one of the busiest groups in my company. I'm also a senior-associate. Your friends, I'm assuming are junior/senior analysts?

I work for one of the top 3 PE firms globally. What companies does your friends work for? Size of bonus is sometimes dependent on size of company as well. Not to mention, not everyone in the company gets the same bonus. Some groups get bigger bonuses than others, especially if we're talking front office vs back office.
