Carmelo Anthony takes horrible shots

Testament to George Karl's coaching that they are 30-12 since the trade. Speaks VOLUMES about not having Melo on the roster.

He'd be in the DMV......is there an NBA team in Maryland that I don't know about?

B-More isn't really considered the DMV tho...even if it is in Maryland.

Yeah he takes bad shots, but so does Kobe and I've yet to see a "Kobe takes horrible shots" thread

Yeah I know, people never talk about Kobe's shot selection.

Solid team sure. Stacked? Did the definition of stacked change?

Maybe not Lakers/celtics level but one of the deepest teams in the league with young talent at every position including shooters, rebounders, post scores. Defensive specialists... Yeah, pretty stacked. Nene borderline all star, Billups, camby, etc etc

Kobe is the same way. When u rely on jumpers as much as those guys do, you'll have wild swings in your accuracy during the season and playoffs.

The same GK that couldn't draw up a decent inbound play in the WCF?

Errrrr... I don't know about that.  More a testament to that team Gelling and having two really really good PG's who know the game and how to run a team than him.

He sucks as a coach IDGAF what ANYONE says.

Funny thing is I hated George Karl when I used to watch them with Melo and when they traded for Iverson and couldn't understand why he couldn't get them to play better. Seems like D'Antoni is having some of the same problems. Maybe it's not the coach's fault.

You get the right mix of players/talent and suddenly you look competent.  Case in point, how was Doc Rivers viewed as a coach before he won the NBA title w. the C's?

<First of all, their talent was elite, not decent. Second of all, Dallas won with only one HOF. Third of all, Carmelo did have great solid role players and another HOF in iverson, and if your theory is true why are they so much better without Melo?Edit: Obviously Kidd is a hall of famer, but he's been in his twilight years for 3 seasons now.

Bro he lost to a 72 win Bulls team in the Finals with the Sonics, lost with the Bucks to the Sixers in the Conference Finals with the MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year and Coach of the Year when Iverson was virtually unstoppable, and then he lost with the Nuggets in the Conference Finals to a 65 win Lakers team that went on to win the Finals. Let's not act like he got upset by some 8th seeds.

It would technically be his home team but he wouldnt be goin "home"...baltimore is totally different from DC, but none of that matters since he switched to being from ny now so he can go home to jack up shots and play on a medicore team

That detroit team like i said was rare.... and they were equalivent to an all b report card. Carmelo nugs team was solid not great, half the players you will mention were just starting to come into their own, martin/nene was hurt half the time, not to mention the conference that the nugs are in has gotten older and weaker. And even at the end of the day the team hasnt accomplished more w/o melo then with him. Yea they play better team collective ball, but you saying like with melo they was lottery bound and w/o melo they western conference champs. with without melo they are a first round maybe second round bounced team at best. So what has really changed?

And kidd maybe old but for what he is asked to do for this team he is still more then capable of doing it, id say alot more then a good amount of pgs in the league. Its not like his court vision, his knack for finding the open man, etc... has deteriated. Matter fact in his older yrs he has added more to his game. He is a helluva better shooter, and has improved on posting and backing down the smaller pg's.

The Bulls Series he had the best perimeter defender in the league and refused the put him on Mike until they were a game away from elimination and GP TOLD him he was guarding him, they went on the win the next two games and lose in the flu game... But who knows what happens if you allow GP to guard him from day 1. Furthermore this Sonics Squad had the best record in the league 2 yrs straight and lost in the first round two years straight before going to the finals. The next two years they lost in the 2nd round 4-3 to Houston &  4-1 to the Lakers.

That Mil Squad came within a game of the finals in 01 then the next year they were the #1 seed in January and finished the season missing the playoffs... The year after that they squeaked into the playoffs...

This Denver Squad... Yea... 1st round exit after 1st round exit...   He has 12 first round exits, 4 2nd round exits, 3 conf exits, and 1 finals loss... and 3 times in which his team failed to make the playoffs.  Each of his teams, minus Cle, he had HOF playing for him and only did something notable 4x's in 21yrs of coaching.  But I'm supposed to say Denver being good is his doing?  The same coach who didn't have an out of bounds play drawn up to get the ball in under 20sec in the 4th quarter?  Nah.. I'm Good.

Kobe Bryant
LeBron James
Kevin Durant

all three are scoring more per game and shooting a higher field goal % then the so called "most versatile scorer in the league"
