Looking to next season, who stays? I hope Seth, Goran, and Drummond stay. Not sure about Patty. I hope Blake and LMA come back, but if Nash is still coaching they won’t play.

And on the plus side Ben actually might play tomorrow. I wonder how he’ll look next to Kyrie and KD
Only reason I'm rooting for BS at this point is because "he has on the jersey" . I think he's a talented bum but there was no reason for him to play a must win game as his first game back. All he would do is get tired most likely.Say what you want and feel how you feel about Ben Simmons.
But the Nets have absolutely botched this situation imho.
Once it was determined that he wasn't going to play in Game 4, they should have released a statement saying "Ben has suffered a setback and we have determined that he will be shutdown for the remainder of this post-season to strengthen his back and focus on his overall health".
THAT'S IT!
I mean, people are still wondering if he will play in Game 5 if they win tonight bc the statement never made it clear or not! Wtf?? You can't have that whole, will he/won't he hanging over the team this whole time.
And as an organization, you can NOT put one of your primary assets in a position to look like dog **** to the fans, the media, and most importantly his teammates.
Even if the story is accurate how it all went down, the minute Ben said he's not feeling well enough to play, if I'm Marks, I'm calling Ben's agent and explaining to him that it will be a really bad look if he doesn't at least suit up. (Ben could have claimed his back stiffened up in the lay-up drills for goodness sake. Just have him freaking DRESS AND RUN OUT WITH HIS TEAMMATES).
And if Ben's agent and Ben still insisted they weren't going to even dress in uniform, then as an organization, the Nets have to take the hit and say "WE are holding Ben out for precautionary measures. This is an organizational decision".
You want to know why? Because you absolutely tank his value if they don't do that. The last thing you want to do is alienate Ben Simmons or make him think the org doesn't believe in or care about him and have him not wanting to come around again.
Now, you have a toxic situation brewing again just like it did in Philly and good luck trying to get any value for him in yet another trade.
Nets are literally making the same mistake with this kid that Philly did.
