Before I even talk about Xs and Os, I just want to say that I have NO problem with KAI's 1 finger salute, the double birds, what he said in the presser, NONE of it.

Normally I'm not a fan of when athletes use profanity/act hostile around young kids bc I don't like the example it can set. But those Boston fans CLEARLY didn't have a problem with bringing little Timmy and Hannah to the game to hear other people call a man out his name in multiple different ways. On Easter Sunday at that. The last thing those fans cared about was setting a good example to those kids, so it is what it is.

I guess that's what "How To Train Your Dragon" means to Bos fans. :rolleyes

Kyrie obviously has negative history in Bos and I have a feeling that there may be more to it behind the scenes than we know. Mans literally told them to suck his **** on the way out yesterday. :lol:

Teach those fans to either **** or get kicked out. Let's see how many of them would really be bout it.

Man, I popped off right after the game on Sunday and told a Knicks fan that the Nets are winning the next 4.

TLDR:
- C's plan is to wear out KD and the Nets need to have a refreshed gameplan to free him up.... role players have to step up... tall, athletic wings are a big problem for the Nets.... what should they do about rebounding.... the switching defense is an issue.

Long form:

Nash and em HAVE to know that the C's will be expecting KD to come out ultra focused. And I think Bos will go even harder to keep him from going off. So hopefully the BKN coaches do what K krazy88s said and put in some better plays to free up 7 on both sides of the ball. He was doing wayyyy too much as far as working for shots AND covering for everybody on d. I think the Cs plan will be to try and wear KD out. He looked so tired to me in the 3rd q. Not making excuses for him though.

The over-reliance of 7 and 11 shouldn't be a problem at this point. Patty, Bruce, Seth, wya?? Kess also was mia but he's a rookie.

Even worse, the lack of tall, perimeter defenders is killing the Nets. When Tatum dropped 54 last month, I lowkey was worried about facing him & Brown and any team with multiple tall, offensive players (Bucks, Bulls, Raps) bc the Nets are such a small team, especially with all the switching they do. Ben will help but realistically, it's kind of crazy to have to depend on him to be the savior.

I've read a lot of people wanting Drum to never play again this series. The problem with that is who will rebound? Nets got completely pounded on the boards, especially the minutes when Drum wasn't on the court. He only had 4 rebs for the game but when he was on the court, the C's didn't get as many rebounds as they did when he was off the floor. C's also had more points in the paint than the Nets. 56 - 32 :sick:

I'm all for Drum sitting if that's what's best. Should Clax start? Should LMA or Blake get some burn? What do you guys think?

Maybe you guys know the answer to this as well, but why don't the Nets ever play a zone or some box coverage or something? It can't be worse than switch switch switch, can it? Somebody showed the Celtics last 5 field goals of the game and they were all layups. :sick:

When I was watching the game in realtime, the bucket J Brown scored right after the Kyrie 3, almost made me throw my remote. :sick:

boston a grown mans team, i dont think Cam or even Kess gonna be able to make any kinda difference. this series screamin for Patty, Seth, The Dragon to pull up they ****in boots straps and ****in hoop all dai and all night

whoever calling for no Drum is a fool, period. he just dont need to be in at the end of games and neither does Clax

fwiw eye think LMA and BG both have something to contribute depending on who is out their for boston

eye also dont think anyone on boston is worth ISH other than tatum brown and smart, BUT thats enuff to give anyone fits and go a long wai this postseason IMHO

my folks been mad at me cause eye told em eye already got ll eye could ask for outta this series with what went down with 11, sorry, it meant that much to me to see HIM do what HE did ( see BIG PERKS comments about it, he did a total 180 about 11, and is man enuff to admit all he did, bless him ) OF COURSE eye wanna see BKLYN drill the Ferz to the wall BUT if it dont bounce that way in the end , eye will never enjoy a game more than gm 1, ima bish like that, oh well

time to separate the men from the marx, all there is to it, its in KDs KIS and Gods hands now

That game may have been even worse than the 1st game. Nets fumbled this one away. Literally, they fumbled this away with all the ridiculous turnovers.

As much as I hate to do it, I have to give credit to the Boston staff bc their team played LIGHTS OUT defense.

I usually defend Nash but everyone knew Boston would come after KD even harder than in gm 1. It's why K krazy88s said, and I quote:

We ALL knew that stopping KD was Boston's main objective. So there's no excuse for Nash and the coaches to not be expecting that Boston pressure tonight.

Team played great spreading the ball around in the first half to BB, Seth, and Dragon just like

And then hero ball kicked in and that was the end of the Nets chapter. Not sure why Nash didn't get the ball out of KD's hands once they realized he was fumbling everything. KAI barely touched the rock either.

It's been one of my biggest pet peeves this year. TOO MUCH RELIANCE ON KD. It's to the point now where they don't trust anybody else to do anything. Not even Kyrie, which is crazy, frustrating, and mind-boggling to me. My dude JUST scored 39 yet he was made an afterthought by his own coaches. Wtf?

KD and Kyrie played like they didn't trust their teammates. 0-10 FG in the in the fourth and 1-17 FG in second half for KD and Kyrie is completely absurd. They both refused to pass the effin ball. I didn't think KD playing worse in two games straight was possible but here we are.

Seth, Bruce and especially Dragic had it going and went ignored in the second half and down the stretch. And KD usually makes the right play in tough spots but lately? Nah. I wouldn't even say KD is fatigued, he looked rattled. He's dribbling the ball off his footat least twice a game :smh:

Idk why Nash hasn't played Blake yet. He can shoot and just as physical.

It's like KD and Kyrie suddenly said "We're great individually and a good duo, **** those other guys" :smh:

Too predictable on the court with coaching and players actions.

Also, Dragic (the lone actual PG) played 11 minutes in the first half. Just 9 in the second :lol:

It's wild how damn near every issue we've talked about in this thread for at least the past 3 months have been exposed in these two games.

Relying way too much on KD
Small roster that gets hunted on d
Poor rebounding
KD being sloppy with turnovers (especially the past month before the playoffs)
A bad habit of relaxing when up with a big lead
Patty's 2nd half of the season fadeout

And so on and so on.

I haven't watched all of it but that was really well done with some excellent editing (slow-mo's, arrows, etc).

Especially the part about the personnel and the switching defense. :rolleyes

Since they both came in the league both KI and KD have been ISO players, right ?

That AINT gonna ever change, nor should it, thats how theyve obviously BOTH flourished. IMO its whats around you when you are that type of player. KD had the right pieces around him in GS, KI had the right pieces around him in CLE. Just my take.

I like Nash BUT he may be one of the worst in game adjustment coaches in a while, kind odd considering the type of player he was, youd figure hed be more analytical and such, NOT putting it all on him , but the player in this league dont get fired the coaches do. If thnigs dont change tomorrow, and I hp=ope to God they do, it iwll be the 2nd to last game for Coach and maybe even KI in BKLYN

Series doesnt strart til the home team drops one, so this series hasnt even started yet !
