Black Culture Discussion Thread

i've been Florida twice for the arts in Brickell, i know where to go.

“Brickell” is not an art district. That’s how I know you don’t know anything:lol :lol

The Dali museum is in St. Pete, the WPB Art Museum and Morikami Japanese Garden are in West Palm Beach.

Ringling School of Arts is in Sarasota. One of the top art schools in America. And Miami is a fake “art hub”…

I’ve been to the MoMA and Guggenheim museum in NY too

Yeah it does. If you had different friends interested in what youre interested in, you wouldn't feel targeted with hood stuff you aren't interested in that your friends are.

1) all my associates aren’t hood

2) what other people post or do on their social media pages should have no bearing on yours. That’s the point

It’s an invasion of privacy

My page should only be geared towards MY interests. You’re definitely missing the gist of it

what’s your definition of ‘privacy’ & what expectation do you have of it given most platforms are free, where essentially the users are the product to some extent? ultimately, especially if you don’t use the ‘for you page’ often, it will just put an amalgamation of what it ‘knows’ about a user from the people who that user follows, what & who that user engages with (which now includes the stuff that you just linger on) what is popular & what is trending…it’s not really about gearing stuff to a user’s interests necessarily, rather the stuff that will keep that user engaged; and while that usually overlaps these algorithms ‘recognize’ many other things about the behaviors of users outside of their own preferences

if i could do high school over i would've played baseball instead of run track, not because of money, but that's the real game of America.

That art basel they got down there always seemed forced and corporate and not organic to me

This is a 45 y.o. dude. I have a hard time believing he genuinely didn’t know about the political switch of the party bases.

… and he doesn’t realize that NEITHER party gave a damn about him either. Everything was about personal gains and agendas.

If the Republican Party cared so much, they’d of divvy out reparations starting in 1866…

They honestly don't teach this in school. I remember asking about it in social studies during the Bush and Gore election.

I found it super odd the Republicans who fought on the Union side were now against the Civil Rights act 100 years later. Never got a clear answer. Party names were slightly different though.

So unless you go to college , you probably ain't ever gonna know unless you study it yourself.

ehh i can't trust it, they both really good actors. You'll need someone who can grill here as she was being grilled by member of congress or senate.
