Fiona Apple- Tidal

it's timeless, you play it today and it still sounds brand new

Surprised it's not more 20th anniversary re-releases and tours being announced, unless i'm just not paying enough attention. It was a great year w/ so many classic albums that dropped that year.

Too short - getting it
Pac - 7 day theory
Dru down - can you feel me
Nutty professor soundtrack
Outlast - Atliens

The Score was definitely #1

I remember that album being played at dice games, at cookouts, at the basketball court, graduation parties, and everywhere in between.

1 The Roots - Illadelph Halflife
2 Ghostface Killah - Ironman
3 Nas - It was Written
4 The Fugees - The Score
5 Redman - Muddy Waters

Honorable Mention
Mobb Deep - Hell On Earth
De La Soul - Stakes Is High
Jay Z - Reasonable Doubt
Heltah Skeltah - Nocturnal
Bahamadia - Kollage

I could keep going. 96' really was a high water mark.

'96 was a ridiculous year. The amount of quality material released is crazy.

Aside from those already mentioned, shouts to...

Lord Finesse - The Awakening
Real Live - The Turnaround
Lost Boyz - Legal Drug Money
Poor Rightness Teachers - New World Order
Mad Skillz - From Where....?
Al Tariq (Kool Fashion) - God Connections

Too many too list.....

A Tribe Called Quest - Beats, Rhymes & Life
Jeru The Damaja - Wrath Of The Math
Rass Kass - Soul On Ice
M.O.P. - Firing Squad
Sadat X - Wild Cowboys
