I wasnt close enough to the console screens to actually get a good look, but based on what I saw at a distance it looks good on the PS3 for an alpha build..

DICE architect, Johan Andersson, reveals that even though console ports of ‘Battlefield 3′ may not look as good as the PC version, the developers are still pushing the systems – the Xbox 360 will benefit from an ‘awesome’ lighting feature.

Battlefield 3 is set to be one of the most highly-anticipated titles in gaming history. Despite presenting an attractive and groundbreaking gameplay package, the title has gained even more interest, and supporters, as a result of the fanboy controversy brewing between fans of the Battlefield franchise and die-hard Modern Warfare 3 players.

Regardless of where you fall in that particular debate, another Battlefield 3 controversy is about to take-off. If a recent message from Johan Andersson (DICE’s lead Rendering Architect) is to be believed, Xbox 360 players may have a leg-up on PS3 owners – potentially fueling an internal debate among fans of the franchise.
DICE has been adamant that PC players will get to enjoy the full power of the Battlefield 3frostbite engine – but that hasn’t stopped console players from debating which non-PC platform will take second place.
The Xbox 360 used to be the de-facto console of choice for multiplatform titles;  however, recent high-profile games such as LA: Noire (developed for PS3), Portal 2 (PC/Console Co-op), and Mortal Kombat (exclusive fighter) offered added benefits for PS3 owners. In fact,Battlefield 3 on PS3 will come packaged with a copy of Battlefield 1943.

While some fans might have expected the superior power of the PS3 to offer betterBattlefield 3 visuals, it sounds as though Xbox 360 players could be getting an exclusive bump in visuals – in the form of a “special lighting solution.

I dont know where i heard this (i thin on a podcast) but i think they have lowered the amount of players on the PC.
From 64 max to 32 max. Well atleast on Rush. So itd be only 16v16 Rush on PC. I think conquest is still 32v32 depending on the server. 

And 24player max for all gamemodes for console i think. I hope thy make it 16v16 for all gamemodes for Console but i doubt it.

Also .. does anyone know what the deal is for the dudes who Pre ordered/Bought Medal of Honor that were ensured a pass into the BF3 beta?
I know its going to be an Open one come September but many people bought and pre ordered MoH strictly for the BF3 beta pass. And what the %#!$ was the point of buying a "pass" if its going to be open for EVRYONE. 

I enjoyed MoH btw.. The main reason i pre ordered/bought it was cause i was sincerely excited for the game. The Beta pass was just a bonus at the time..

^^^^ That rumor has no solid proof and is most likely false. MW3 is going to destroy BF3 in sales. In fact if COD sells only twice as much as BF then that would be a success for BF/DICE/EA.

for gears 3 if you purchased bulletstorm you got in the beta early...so it might be the same...unless not that many preordered

Nope. I think the only way to get it was Preordering it (Limited Edition) came with it.

Anyways.. ive been reading around, although they confirmed an open beta in September. They haven't mentioned anything about the ppl who bought MoH. Which worries me and makes it seem theyre going to back out on their side of the "deal"

Like i said, hopefully they ATLEAST give us (The ppl who preordered MoH) early access to the beta... If not, im going to be a bit jelly. Even though ill still get to play the beta at some point.
