but that sort of worries me because im sorta fully switched over to the 360 at this point. And already preordered for the 360.
Hopefully this wont end up like black ops for the ps3/pc. That would SUCK!
If its NOTICEABLY better looking and runs better on the Ps3 than i might end up having 2 copies and Using my Ps3 strictly for this game.
But i guess thats what the Beta is for. Ill be downloading it on both systems.

As an Xbox user, I see no problem with this. In light of recent hacking events and the problems with Black Ops online, as far as online experience goes, I think it's unanimous who is the clear winner. Dedicated servers is all that really matters.

btw school me on dedicated servers i dont get it...if someone quits and they are "host" the game doesnt stop anymore or what

yes, we do.
from my understanding, people can pay a monthly fee to have a server for their game.
so clans have servers that they rent out from a company. and basically you can run w/e you want on it (well, that's legal)
i've seen nuketown HC team deathmatch 24/7.
no run servers, crouch only servers. usually the monitoring is tighter because there is basically always one mod/admin on there to ban/kick cheaters.
somebody correct me if i'm wrong tho.
without dedicated servers (on pc at least), cheaters run wild because 99.9% of the time there will be no mods or admins to kick them.

Yup, PS3 lead, 360 port. It's harder to port from 360 to PS3, but much easier to port to PS3 to 360. Besides Sony first party, EA and Square seem to be the only 3rd party companies that have figure out the Cell. They started leading on PS3 back in 2008, IE; Mirror Edge, Burnout Paradise, Deadspace, Fight Night and Madden, Bad Company 2 etc.
The game will look dope on both platforms, but obviously PC will crush with it's graphical onslaught.

From what i seen on vids and forums. I seen people complaiin and say on forums that Clops for PC was a horrible port as well . Like the PS3. And what joe said, i didnt know yall had dedi servers.
But yeah... I very well couldve been wrong about PC but thatrs wat i heard and read.

but i wouldnt say it's horrible.
it's an obvious console port, but it's playable compared to others.
and yes, we have dedicated servers. that's one of the reasons im skipping out on MW3, because activision is pulling the same %#!* they did with MW2. that game is hacker galore on pc. aimbots/wallhacking like crazy.

Basic def. of Dedicated Servers, is the game developers personally host a high speed server for people to play on. So basically our connection sends packets to the developer directly and is distributed evenly amongst the players. Instead of Call of Duty where one player is a host and people send packets to the hosts regular cable connection.
Best example is to play the game Homefront. Homefront is dedicated, if you play Homefront for a while and then try to play Black Ops it will make you sick. In Homefront lag really isnt an issue (not to say it doesnt happen) and when you shoot a player, YOU ACTUALLY SHOOT HIM. Not shoot him and the guy gets away due to lag like in CoD. Or if you are getting shot and you hide behind a wall and some how bullets magically wrap around the building and kill you. It's crazy how much BS is in CoD when you play a dedicated game.
An issue with dedicated servers though, is that when the game first comes out, the servers almost always crash due to traffic. And it always takes weeks for it to be 100%

I'm almost 100% sure it's not going to be bad on the 360, like how Black Ops was bad on the PS3.. I think that was more Activision not giving a damb since they got that contract with Microsoft. I'm pretty sure the guys at DICE and EA know they can't mess the game up on the console because their fanbase ain't as big as COD and if they mess up now people will talk.. and they want to grow their fanbase and make it a huge hit and take out COD which is impossible no matter how doodoo it is

@ a co-op campaign. i hope it's like spec ops from mw2, that was easily the best part of that game to me. and finally being able to refuse getting revived

yes that is correct, MW2 used its own program to stop cheaters IWnet on steam (
even with that anti-cheating program hackers ran wild on MW2, and if they updated the protection the hackers had a patch the next day.
dedicated servers are great for stopping cheaters because the admin i believe can check if any modified files were used, also if you
want to play in a mod-lobby you can on dedicated servers but not for real XP.

I had the opportunity of actually test playing this game with people from Dice earlier this week. People will not be dissapointed by this game.

We played on PC's for the first two matches against people in NY ( I'm in LA, and we played on Alienware PC's). There was gonna be a third match on the PS3 but time ran out.Originally Posted by Carver

We won both matches, which was a surprise cuz a good chunk of us testers haven't played PC shooters before.
