Basketball Thread About Nothing

I like Devin in general but this skit is getting tired for me. I watched the Jamal portion. Some was real violations, some weren’t, and I noticed when he does these videos he mixes in no calls with actual calls so idk the point. Besides it’s funny (or it was).

how do you fall from a spin move? first time seeing that

pink pants a big *** hack mane lol

no way ref wasn't paid off

How are they going to say Scoob is “too little” then complain he’s pushing off?

If I never see the head tap or the “too little” again I’ll gladly give up 5 years.

Is that a travel? No……. Will it be called a travel on the high school level…. Yes. Been dealing with it all season long.

I had a weird interaction this yesterday.

I usually hoop with the official NBA ball and this old guy claimed the ball was as small as the women's ball. He was comparing it and all that and even said they make them in women's. It's literally called the official game ball so it comes in only one size.

This guy's shot would fall short almost every time too.

why tho? looks like it should be legal by rule on every level? is it the slight awkwardness/uncommonness of the 1, 2 step?

i played with it no more than a handful of times in my life but i always felt it was smaller & lighter but that's probably bc i'm not used to plating with it

I have never got a clear answer whether I was coaching or a parent. Most refs have short tempers and won’t actually explain calls and just give you the “ just be grateful we are here” attitude . At least the refs that call traveling on plays like this and a step through are like that

My guess is not the steps but the distance traveled as well as what you stated, the awkwardness/uncommonness . Also the fact that my son is playing D2 so the officials aren’t to the standards of a D1 or college level

When yall see IT.

Hear me out.

Youth basketball rosters shouldn't be bigger than 12-13 players

Even less. I wanted to and was able to play entire games as a kid. At most would sit 1-3 minutes per half until around age 14 when the game got much more intense. It’s just at a disadvantage to the kids who will forever ride the bench unless they put in the work to get better.

School teams usually have people get in trouble, become ineligible because of grades/attendance.

You have to carry more than enough players to field a team.
