??? Never heard of that or experienced that before, and I've dated/hooked up with a lot of Korean women

I dunno why, but I always hear bad stuff about Korean girls. My friend has dated a few and says their holes stink. Of course the stereotype that they’re crazy. My friend’s wife did seem crazy though.

are yall from cali? I always hear that about west coast koreans lol

also I think im the only one who thinks yb is not attractive lol

More high maintenance than crazy.
Also a lot of imitation of what they see on TV/videos
Holes don't stink lol.

Nah, i’m in NY. My friend’s a fool though and always making fun of Korean and Japanese girls even though those are the girls he mostly dates.

For the Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean people here, did you grow up with some older people in your community giving you ideas of how Southeast Asian people are inferior? I know it's a common thing among Chinese and Taiwan, as a lot of maids are Viet/Filipino/Thai/Cambodian.

I used to believe it when I was young and didn't know any better. Some of the **** these older traditional cats say would be so out of bounds in today's world.

Not to mention Viet/Filipino girls  Buddha have mercy on my soul

We have had SE Asian ladies that work as an aid for my grandmother back in Taiwan.

I've never experienced the older people in my family expressing their dislike for them.

I know some older Taiwanese folks don't really f with Koreans that much though

Right or Wrong, that line of thinking is very much been part of history. Personally believe applies more to Japanese, Chinese and Korean people. Tribalism and ethnic pride.
But if you are interested on a social studies level, there are numerous recent youtube vids about this very topic. More so Taiwan, then maybe Korea & Mainland. Show how foreign brides integrate and live in their Spouse country.
Since I know we both have extended Families on Taiwan, you'd see that trend now. Fairly common. Have an Uncle and Cousin that went Viet.

Edit: just saw Nazlew's post. Same with my Family. No real hard prejudices.

I’ve never heard my Korean mom say anything negative about SE Asians but I know she used to dislike the Japanese because of WW2

One of the cities I lived here in Korea "ansan 안산" was regarded as a dangerous undesired city because all the se Asian factory workers lived here and Koreans were mad sketchy to them and about them. Use to hear wild fables about em.

Japan occupied Taiwan as well but I don't really hear or see anything negative towards them. Taiwan gave them the highest amount of donations/aid after the 2011 earthquake.

My grandmother speaks conversational Japanese.

Japanese people get it... I love going there.. Safe clean fun respectful. I may be going next week for my last time in a while.

granted this was only a couple of times but flying from Japan to Korea and vice versa I definitely noticed a level of contempt from the local TSA towards the tourist of the other race.

Understand that sentiment. Local more native Taiwan people, especially older crowd definitely have always been more friendly toward Japan country and people. But that stuff wouldn't fly in my extended Family.
While nearly all of my relatives were born on Home Island (self included), we are refugee Mainlanders. Term doesn't mean much to younger generation, but still has lingering effect. One of those weird local ethnic differences We here Stateside don't really get.

Just came back from the Bay:

Pros
- Highlights = Happy Lemon (sad we don't have this in NYC), Clarion Alley, SF MOMA, Mission street art, Dolores Park, Moraga Steps, Golden Gate, Andytown Coffee (thanks Fozz Fozz ), Smitten Ice Cream, Shandong in Oakland
- I really dig the chill vibe overall
- SF is also more spaced out than NYC
- ABGs looked fuego at the bubble tea spots

Cons
- Driving everywhere -- as an NYC guy who uses the train everywhere, this was a major shock
- Everything was pretty expensive in SF
- Chinatown in Oakland looks like a mess, but the food was solid
- San Tung wasn't worth the 1 hour wait

If you study the Japanese occupation in Taiwan, you'd be surprised at how well they treated Taiwan. Hence why Taiwanese have a different perspective of WW2.

Complete 180 compared to Korea and Mainland China.
