I agree with you. But like said earlier in this post if the cops following her there she should be ok to speed. So if he used his siren and rushed her then he could have saved maybe 2 or 3 minutes. But who is to say whether or not that would be the difference. And if this story came out sounding like this best believe id be vanished for a while. People in this thread have said "i would kill him with my bare hands" i would be a little apprehensive to say the least about saying I was that cop and here is my story.Originally Posted by Diego

but did the cop follow her to the hosp to make sure they got there safely or to make sure they really were going to the hospital?
He did follow her but he was gone before the whole ordeal was over.
Rather than following her, he couldve put her in his vehicle, turned on the siren, and rushed her to the hospital. He did none of that.
I am interested in hearing his side of the story. I understand why he would stop a person driving the wrong way on a one way street, this video does not mention it but apparently she clipped a parked car and thats why he pulled her over. As an officer I understand him taking action and stopping her, I just dont understand how he wasnt pro active once he saw the condition of that little girl.
This is why it sounds fishy.
If he pulled her over for clipping a parked car and driving the wrong way down a one way street that's understandable.
So hypothetical:
Mom then says its an asthma attack
Cop knows she needs medicine not CPR
Cop follows women to hospital
Women goes into hospital and cop leaves
Its too late kid dies
So where is the cop at fault here?
He didnt call it in. He couldve rushed her to the hospital as soon as he saw what was going on.
The mother obviously was panicking and was not in the best condition to drive. he shouldve driven his vehicle with the siren on rather than follow her.
Lets just excuse the fact that he tailed her, once he got involved he was supposed to see thing through. Not mysteriously vanish for 4 days.

Yessir. If he felt he was in the right, why he disappear. At the end of the day, he knew he was wrong for not followin proper protocol and trying to do everything he could so he drops off the earth for a stint. Even as a decent human being, u see somebody frantic claiming they are rushing to the hospital, ur first thought is "how can I help them get there?" As a police officer, that's easy as pie w/ the sirens and "respect" on the roadOriginally Posted by Diego

She went the wrong way on a 1 way street and hit a parked car. How stupid was this cop to continue to let her drive given what just happened. He could and should have used his car.Originally Posted by Jking0821

I just think its a bit of an over reaction by the media to report just one side of the story....and for the record i do not like cops lol.

When it comes to anything having to do with breathing, 2 or 3 minutes can be the difference between life and death.
I dont see how you can justify this guy not coming out and speaking his side of the story.
Had it not been for the investigation they did he would still be unknown.
Thats a coward bro.

I don't want to come across like im justifying it. He was definitely in the wrong for not taking action. But i think if the girl would have lived the story may be flipped like "o he followed us all the way to the hospital thank god he was there to assists us." Just bad circumstances all around.Originally Posted by Diego
