I thought Funny Cide and Big Brown had theirs sewn up, during their runs. We should be celebrating at minimum a 2nd triple crown this lifetime.
Lol what was he saying?
I seriously just don't get odds and lines and all that. I've had it explained but it just doesn't make sense to me. So I'll ask a simple question: What if someone had put $10 on this winner that had 80-1 odds? Would that be... $800?damn I usually throw down a few bets in 10 range on a biggest underdog followed by 3-4 horses that people had coming in the top 4-5....not this race of course....not that I would have hit but for example had you put 10 on 21, 3, 10, 13, 1 you would be a millionaire
instead I had ton of bets on 1, 10, x, x and 10, 1, x, x....ugh
mattress mac throw down 1.5M on favorite....what had he thrown down 1.5M on the 80-1! wow dude would have had heartattack

with horse racing, i'm no expert.....I just like to have money for low risk big reward for these 3 races because there is so much money in....that bet would result in $800 win, yes.........
most horse betters place a exacta and/or trifecta bet.......then box those bets I believe is the term....basically bet every possible combination with whatever you can afford.
if you liked the horses that finished top 4, and you placed a super trifecta....thats picking every combination...if your bet is $1 per combination that comes out to $24. If you had done that? your $24 dollar bet on every combination would have resulted in 321,500.10 payout. remember you're betting every possible combination....so 23 are losers and 1 is the winner.....assuming you did pick the correct 4........
since its basically a pool, the payout is not known until after the race is completed....more action more money if you get the horse order right.....
I like to take a few sings on getting 5 horses correct in the $10 straight ticket......no clue how much I would win on that but considering $1 could win $321k for 4 horses? i'd guess $10 straight on 5 horses would win at least 4M......it really depends on the pool and payouts also.....this upset messed up a lot of exacta/trifecta bets, meaning lots of ripped tickets
its worth betting on the next 2 races.
from another site
"A $2 bet on Rich Strike would have paid out $163.60. Rich Strike's 80-1 odds made the payouts for exacta, trifecta and superfecta bets remarkably high.
An exacta bet with Rich Strike and Epicenter would have paid out $4,101.20 if you placed $2 on the slip.
A trifecta including Rich Strike, Epicenter and Zandon would have paid out $14,870.70 and a superfecta with those three horses and fourth-place finisher Simplification would have produced a $321,500.10 payout.
Rich Strike will now get ready to go after the next leg of the Triple Crown at the Preakness Stakes two weeks from now at Pimlico Race Course. "
My brother looked dit up and a $1 bet on the "pentafecta" (5 horses in order) paid out $741k. So yeah $10 on that woulda been $7.4 million
He really maneuvered the horse to the right, the horse was looking to his right, dodged pass the horse who was in his way and then accelerated pass the two in front, that was AMAZING.
The horse never lost his speed
