Now these look better. Not ashy and you can tell the ankle is less bulky. I can fix the toe. I just can’t do the ashy Larry uppers man. Also the 3M piping on that black is dope. Reminds me of the white edges on the 1999 bred 4’s

If the shape ends up looking like that, it wouldn’t have mattered if these had OG material - the shape is horrendous. And I say this as a guy who is usually mocking people who care about that stuff.

Yea I’m still out sadly. It hurts my soul to say that cause I need a nice pair of BM5’s in my life but kinda coming to terms that it just ain’t meant to be. I’m hoping the Grapes and especially the Black Tongues turn out fire.

I just wish they’d go back to the tongue from that era. I really want the tongue from the 2000 retro era but I guess that’s too much to ask. I despise this stiff, hard (pause) tongue they’ve been putting on recent V’s.

I never even looked at the ankles once. It's all about the front of the foot/toe shape for the point being made here.

The ankles might be off from OG but still slimed down better than retros, that toe box though is 1000 times better than anything they’ve done in decades on a 5.

I'm just saying, if I had the skills and time needed to do this, I'd strive to do the entire shoe better and not just the toes, which are certainly the main issue.
