Air Jordan 5 OG “Black Metallic” Reimagined 2025 !

When the light hits it right, the OG created this fade effect. Retro don't do that. Plus the OG lateral clear mesh never yellowed either.

It's crazy how JB is just obsessed with the giant toe bulk in all these releases. Many have said it's the molds, or it's "for new generation style" and so on.

But the OGs were just....not this. The toes especially were flat. It's the same thing release after release. You wear these you look like you are wearing steeltoe boots just like what they did to the 3s for decades (and so on).

I admit certain ones look better but it's ridiculous how many releases JB puts out of just this shoe alone where something always just seems off.

It could be the stiff interfacing beneath the fabric. It holds the shape over time but breaks in with more wear.

Or the 3m panels itself. I imagine these are green bean 5s with faux suede fused on top.
