Air Jordan 39 (XXXIX) (July 23, 2024 Release date)

They will look good on the court. Im sure they will be great performers too. I like the minimal upper approach. Off the court these are a no go.

Sol, UNC, and 'No Alteration'

I love hooping in low tops so Im actually in for a pair to hoop in. I haven't played in a Jordan sig since the XXX (30). One year post Achilles tendon rupture surgery so I'm excited to finally get back to shooting hoops on the weekends.

This is the color I want.

Definitely what I'm thinking too, since the release report HEAVILY MARKETED the whole new midsole cushion of BOTH Full Length ZoomX and Full Length Zoom Air in the shoe.

JB is leaning on the AJ39 to promote the technological evolution of the mainline AJ shoes more than the actual aesthetics on this one, which seems to be in-line with Nike's new marketing/profit strategy of pushing more towards performance innovation instead of style/aesthetics

Out the box, these are very very comfortable! Definitely impressed. I don’t foresee any break-in time needed for hoops (which is what I’ll be using them for).

For those that care about the box, it’s “weighter” than it looks and the interior tissue paper is cool (faint squares with 23 on them).

I’d say in terms of sizing I’d recommend whatever your Jordan 38 size was.

Pricing…it expensive especially considering most hoops sneakers are sitting (some exceptions of course) at the higher price points. Don’t know if they’ll limit production or if these will be plentiful but hoping they get discounted. That’s not because they’re “not premium or worth it” I personally just don’t like spending that sticker on kicks I’ll be hooping in. Will if I have to (if they start drying up…) but not my first preference because I do like them.
