So I was cruising Facebook marketplace in my country canada and boom this guy had 5 ds pairs for sale sizes 8-9.5, I bought all in one shot seeing as how theyre my fave shoes of all time if uve seen my other posts I got like 20 pairs of the 2018 version LOL crazy I know but I love the shoe haha, but these 95 og pairs are still icey as hell and whats crazy he gwve me the receipt as well supposedly the guy bought 8 pairs total at the time insane

Funny this convo came up. While I know people poop on the 2011s (rightfully so), I was just cleaning up some old receipts earlier and dug this up:

9 pairs. Told this story before, but breaking it down:
-2 for myself
-1 for my girl
-1 for my (future) kid
-rest for my wedding party: 4 groomsmen, 1 ring bearer. *Kicker: girl and I were only dating like 6 months at the time I plunked down the pre-order [old Canadian heads will recall FL’s old gift card/reservation method], and I wouldn’t propose til March 2012. But hey, when you know, ya KNOW!

Got married September 2013 and we’re still going strong in 2022 with two wonderful kids!

Bought a pair of 2018s too when those came around (just one pair, though).

I actually just sold all my double ups. I’d rather have 1 of a bunch of grails for variety personally so now I have both Kaws 4s coming in.

I get it though. When you love a particular style why not have a few. The OGs could actually be a nice investment. Could help pay for your kids college!

The FACT that you made it out with ALL of those pairs ALIVE, is a TESTAMENT to EVERYTHING. That morning was PURE CHAOS!! In EVERY major metropolitan US city. Especially, ALL around the Midwest.​

Not gonna lie, I have a DS pair of these, for when I get married. I also have Bred/SJ/CG 11s for the same reason, if I change my mind.

I just got another pair of DS 2000 Space Jams for $284. Who knows when the royal blue Space Jam will ever be retroed again?

^^Always regret never getting those exact Air 2 Strong mids. I remember there were oddly two versions of that black colorway, one with the white heel trim and one with the same piece in black. Maybe the black-heel version also had black plastic eyelets, too. Can't remember. But those were so dope.

Yeah I’m not sure why that would be a topic lol. I’m glad to finally get a pair of concords though and I would’ve taken them anyway but I definitely love this 2018 pair.
