Air Jordan 11 Retro "Concord" - December 8, 2018 release - $220 #45

I hope Jordan Brand brings back clear soles on day. At least for the Cool Greys

Love the blue tint. But wouldn't surprise me down the road if next concord with 23 had a clear sole. Id probably want that to lol.

Lol I know. The nubuck or whatever now ain’t the same

My man, I have to ask again; when was the last time you've looked at these shoes? You're cracking 2012 *** jokes :lol

(Left shoe 2016, Right shoe 2000)

They've been using a durabuck imitation on almost all of the OG colorways that are supposed to have it since 2015.

yea the durabuck on the recent metalic v is pretty close to the og but not exact. ogs had a more rubbery smooth texture. the recent retro is not bad at all
I just hope it’s more durable and long lasting than the 2000 infrareds. The durabuck on there peels off over time

Bro you’re in here posting unworn shoes talking about quality. Beat those into the ground and let us know how they hold up. I’ll give you a hint, they won’t.

Things may LOOK the same but they’re not. Good products break in, these shoes are designed to just break.

I’m not here just bad mouthing things for the sake of “joking”. I’ve learned my lesson attempting to push these shoes. Things fall off (4 wings come right to mind) places comes unglued and detached, materials crack and peel. Sold it pretty much everything becuase I beat my shoes and not have them for display. I’m also very picky about what I actually buy becuase at these prices the very LEAST these things should do is hold together.

They look pretty much the same when worn heavily. I wear mine all the time, rain, sleet, or snow.

But... I didn't do that?

Dude says he considered putting wax on the back of the 2016 Black Metallics to simulate the OG look and you joke that doing something like that could rip the material off.

He's confused, and you start talking calling the material on it "rat fur" and "nubuck or whatever", so naturally I ask if you've SEEN the 2016 BMs because as someone that's owned the 2000 Black Infrared VIs, 2000 Black Metallic Vs, and DMP VIs all within the last decade; it looks and feels a lot like old durabuck.

I'm not here shilling for Jordan Brand in the slightest, trust me; your jokes just keep sounding like you left the Jordan Brand section in 2013 and ignored everything since.

You sure your pair is real? Even the Bordeaux 7s from 2015 hold up great despite being called flimsy and crap

So where are we at on this wax idea? lol

So where are we at on this wax idea? lol

They're your shoes man, stitch on a 23 and throw some white laces in them too if you want :lol

I don't know how the wax will sit on the durabuck, but I can imagine it working alright.

Why not grab some wax and try rubbing some on the inner ankle padding and see what if you dig it?

I think it's a cool detail on the original pair, but not one that I personally care about enough to try to recreate it.

If I did it Id figure out what wax they use for denim and how to apply it. I wasnt about to just rub some random wax on there. lol

So if I go as far as ordering the proper juice, itd be hard not to go the distance

if it works itd be a nice little custom to set yourself apart while still 'keepin it real'

for these and the infrareds

I wish i could find out what they actually did to it back then to make it look like that

I know the company that made the OG Durabuck from 1989-1993 I believe is long gone, but I wonder why Nike can't recreate the material? Is it due to a lack of necessary information regarding what materials are needed to create it or what?

Anyways I can't wait for this release. I graduate high school in a few days and decided I'll get the Space Jams/'95 Playoff PE's as my gift to myself and my first 11. Concords will be next and I may even double up.
