i feel like they could dye the material any color, but i'm not a material scientist.

If I were to venture a guess, it would be that the material on the midsole might be too porous and it might soak up the paint and eventually affect the feel of the shoe? The boost is suppose to be individual capsules instead of one big piece of solid foam so there are some micro spaces between the capsules that are bonded together and if paint gets in there and hardens then the performance/responsiveness would be affected. That would be my hypothesis.
I know someone posted a page or so back that someone else painting the sole black but i'd be curious if it still felt the same afterwards?
RFX, i didn't think of that, it quite possible, due to the manufacturing process which you mentioned. Idk if you were getting at this also, but I wore my pure boosts into the ground, and the boost itself looks like a sponge under the top coating, the paint would definitely effect the density of the foam.i feel like they could dye the material any color, but i'm not a material scientist.
that sucks cuz this white midsole is almost impossible to clean. I wanna have my wife paint them but I'm sure it'll just crack because of how much give boost has. I'll pay a little extra for a black midsole.I thought adidas did the boost soles like that because they're easier to manufacture or something? I remember reading something like that a long time ago
give me 10 min. LolHave you tried rubbing alcohol? Works for me..
I like the 1s better from a style standpoint, however The 2s look like they'll actually be able to perform better. I know it's not their designed use, but I used to play basketball in the 1s, as well as run occasionally. The upper, at least on the monotone pairs is extremely stretchable. This meant that no matter how tightly I tied them if I made a cut my foot was going to slide out of the footbed. Also, the mesh type material that they used I didn't find to be durable at all, I have so many holes on my pair that I don't wear them for risk of looking like a homeless person. The material used on the twos would appear to fix both of my problems, which I really like. Id rather pay 100-120 for a pair of these than shell out a lot more for some ultras, even if I probably should.
Coming back to the point in white boost soles being uncleanable, I've never been able to get a speck of dirt off of mine. I wore them into champs once and the salesman told me he'd never seen a dirtier pair of white midsoles. He then proceeded to try to use whatever cleaner they market on them, which did absolutely nothing.
well, youre using a shoe for a purpose that it wasnt intended for and getting horrible results cause of that. and i clean my pure boost mid-soles with my jason markk cleaner (which i think is overrated) and it gets them pretty much 98% perfect.
i just couldnt imagine playing any type of competitive basketball, even just pick up games, in pure boosts or even going on light runs in them.
its like putting slicks on a car and then not being happy with the performance of the tires when you go off-roading.
Do want! Will those come in a 14?!?
If they are anything like the OG energy boost, these will stretch out comfortably. The Energy boost was also very tight but after wearing for a week it stretched out. My ultra boost pair is coming next week and I ordered the same size. This shoe fits pretty snug for tts...holy hell its even snug on the 0.5 up pair...i have toe space on both pair but it feels constricted in the upper area where (tongue area) supposed to be. Sorry for the crappy phone pic..too lazy to pull out dslr.
ok just ran 5 minutes jog then sprint on a 0.5 higher pair feels amazing, grippy feel, still pretty light, just a little roomy in the toes, also has a grippy sound from the bottom black part of soles. had minor heel slippage on left pair on the beginning uphill but feels pretty good.
The TTS pair is starting to feel better, I went for a 5 min run, and just wearing it in the house, it just feels too snug even with my thin nike socks...I'll try my Nike Basketball socks but I'm pretty sure I will start getting uncomfortable. I'll update with these details. the TTS pair does feel slightly lighter tho.
I ordered a pair of Veritas Mids, received them, and didn't get charged until like two weeks later. Weird, but whatever. Adidas will come for their moneyFor anyone here that ordered on Adidas.com. Did your credit card get charged yet? I ordered on 11th and got my shoes today and still not charged...btw these TTS i've been wearing trying to hopefully 'stretch' them out but damn these are smaller than my Size 9 Roshes (1/2 size down TTS).
Nters is it best to have a snug shoe for working(RN nurse here) and running? or go comfier snug (half size up) for running/working?
