They think that American Psycho was too slow?? Man, I'd love to see them try watching some older movie that's actually slow. But yeah, video stores were part of the experience, seeing other people in the store, what movies they're getting, etc. Just like going to the cinema. You can't duplicate that experience at home.

I remember when I was finally old enough to go into the adult section of my local video store and rented a porno, just on gp.

Bruh. So good. Putting the clear colored cases on them and then the original text messaging with the 143 and MISS YOU. Classic

I still want one

Actually had the nerve to ask my mother for one when I was younger and she told me only drug dealers own them. That was her response to everything

about a year or two ago I was really thinking about getting rid of my cell phone and getting a pager. my wife wasn't having it. I think it was like 80 bucks a year or something. A lot less than the 200+/month I spend on goddamn cellphones.

1996- you can't tell me this intro / visuals didn't get your adrenaline up.. In San Diego it would air at 6am on Saturdays. The dedication was real for me

I remember pager stores around the block. And if you came across some randomly they'd give you 20-40$ a pop :nerd:

1994. My dad was in the military and we were stationed in Germany. When this movie hit the video stores, the whole neighborhood wanted a copy. The shop in our little community only had 2 copies lol. I'll never forget the night one of my mom's friends brought me the rented tape. It's also got one of the best soundtracks of all time.

Well im peep'n and i'm creep'n and i'm creep-in

No doubt. It spawned Pac's best song in "Pain".
