Went to the bar with a couple friends as CM Punk gave the GTS to Rock, who sold that &@^# like a champ. Love that turn. As far as the overall show, pretty much anything with Punk/Rock/Bryan, a bit of DX, and some other nostalgia stuff were good, but I guess I'd give the overall show a 6/10. Like 4w said a lot of the stuff really could have been on any random Raw. Layla, AJ, and Lita all brought the :pimp: Mae Young's grown up hand had be  Pretty disappointed that Austin wasn't there. Felt like he really needed to be. Miz/Christian was good for what it was, though you do have to wonder going forward what's left for Christian. Decent yet unspectacular opening match, but at least Dolph didn't take his 1000th Brogue kick. Now let's see what SD brings following this. &@^# I've never been up this late on here. Bout to pass the ^@%# out.

***EDIT: Props to ESyDC for everybody's gifs, loved seeing how they came out. Good looks by sole vintage on some of tonight's gifs, and 4w you wrote up a good pre-show post at the start of the thread.

Pumped for the Rock v. Punk feud moving forward. Should be a great build to Royal Rumble. Rock wont have to dumb it down on the mic to put a heel Punk over. Going to be great.....:smokin

Last nights Raw was very ehhhh; favorite part was CM Punk owning the Rock.

I think with a whole bunch of old viewers coming back, they should have showcased their new stars instead of burying them (Sandow) or not even giving them a chance to shine (Ziggler and Rhodes).

LOL I'm starting think that when I read this thread weekly my favorite part is how mad 4wrestling gets. I understand you've grown up watching this since you were young (assuming most of us has as well), but my dude you have to calm down you are going to kill yourself over a product we all know that isn't what it once was, but learned to accept it. With that said keep making these posts and keep gettin mad cause I really enjoy it.

Punk's with Lita? [JR]Aww that son of a bit#@!![/JR] That lucky dog. I'M JELLY.

Anyway's last night's RAW was suppose to be that all-time to remember show and something to turn the company into a direction away from their stagnant state. But hey, if that's the best they can do, then I have no problem following TNA. At least they'll give me an entertaining show.

So does this mean that John Cena will get a legitimate rematch now at Summerslam, considering that his Money in the Bank wasn't successfully cashed in due to the Big Show interfering? I thought the show was great - so much packed into a 3 hour RAW - could have used a few less promos, although some of them I did enjoy. Nice to see they even referenced the old story line with Kane and Taker, and brought back old announcers and a diva (Lita). Of course, the one thing missing was definitely SCSA - I just don't see where he'd play a part without starting some sort of mini feud and not being able to continue with it. It would have been nice to see JR call a better match at RAW, maybe the Christian/Miz match instead of the tag team match. Regardless, I'm most pumped for Royal Rumble with the Rock and the WWE Champion - so glad I copped pre-sale tickets after MITB! :D

As much as Cena/Punk is becoming the new Cena/Edge, One would hope that it is Cena/Punk straight up for the title at Summerslam again since this could be a darker Heel role from Punk. I think the WWE will instill the Pipe bomb effect with Punk but with more lines crossed than usual. You can't have it be what led to Punk's face turn. You need him to gather Jericho heat. Im not saying throw a suit and tie on this man but he needs to go nuts with the fan support and things of that nature. Watch the video from last night again, he kept looking at his hands for whatever the reason.

I think we need to see how this all plays out. I think Punk will be thrown into a bunch of different story lines. By going off that bleacher report I posted, one would think he will have a say about Cena, Rock, "Main Eventing" etc etc. That would mean he will open up his mouth about Brock and HHH at summerslam too no??????

As long as they keep Punk as this heel that is not running out of the ring or even cheating like a heel would, they could have GOLD in their hands. the BEST IN THE WORLD tagline will be the focus. I just have doubts with the WWE pulling it off. I do not think they could make Punk this Heel that does not act like any other.

I have a firm belief that next week, he will discuss not Main Eventing, giving up spots to people who do not want to be here, and being the BEST IN THE WORLD and wanting to be treated as such. We all know that the WWE can mess this up more than make it a success.

Lmao at the Rocks selling of that GTS. Its up there with the backflip stunner and Gore as comedy.

RAW 1,000 And Why Stone Cold Steve Austin Wasn’t There

On July 23, 2012 WWE celebrated the 1,oooth episode of Monday Night Raw. I watched the show from my home in Los Angeles. After watching the show, I got on my Twitter account, @steveaustinBSR, to read responses to the show. There were many people blaming Vince McMahon and the WWE for not having SCSA on the show. And there were some folks who had some very negative things to say about me, personally.

The reason I did not attend RAW 1,000 was because I underwent a major knee surgery on my left knee on July 2, 2012. Dr. Neal ElAttrache of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, CA performed the surgery.

The surgery was a complete success. I am currently three weeks post op. I began physical therapy a few days ago. I had a world class surgeon and a great medical team working on me. I am now working with a top notch PT team. I am still on crutches and will probably lose the crutches in another week. Then I will be in a custom knee brace much like the braces I wore in the ring for 9-12 weeks.

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN IS A 100% *** KICKING MACHINE. There was no way I was going to limp down the ramp on crutches for RAW 1,000. It was time to get my knee fixed. The decision to no-show RAW 1,000 was made by me and no one else. I have always taken pride in making my shots and have never faked an injury or illness. Pro Wrestling is a tough game and it was time to pay the piper for some of the damage I incurred in the ring. No gripes. No complaints.

To the fans that were hoping to see SCSA, I’m sorry I missed the show. I would have loved to be there under different circumstances. I normally keep my personal business to myself, but due to feedback and incorrect speculation, I have posted this blog and given the 411 on why I was not at RAW 1,000.

I will post more blogs about my PT and recovery soon.
