5'6 Aquille Carr Is The BEST Sophomore In The Nation; Takes Over With 38 Points vs City

5'6 scoring pg, he better be putting up 30+ in the dleague if he isnt racking up the assists or show he can really shoot lights out, playing great defense, etc

the last guy on the bench usually dominates the dleague when they are sent down. you see crazy numbers when they play. heck ken bazmore, nedvodic, seth curry were having their way. those guys barely get any minutes and seth isnt even on the pro roster

That's true. However, All those guys are like 23 and played four years of competitve D1 college ball.

Aquille just scored an efficient 22pts in two straight games. Thats pretty impressive for a guy who was playing against high schoolers in April.

Man I might have to drive up there to watch him play one of these weekends.......

He bout to be another Baltimore dude that aint make it :{

Like dudes been sayin'. Go get that overseas money and culture, wherever it is.

I'd hate to see dude become another statistic and go the way side in B-more cause he doesn't end up sticking in the NBA or D-League.

He the type of dude that just always gotta be around home, he cant go too far from the city...he had a chance at a few opportunities in Europe but word is he didnt want to live ova there for that long during the season...he did the same thing with picking high schools and thats how he settled on Seton Hall cuz it was relatively close

It's really a shame. And unlike Lenny Cooke, he will be completely forgotten. He's young enough that he can still mature and turn things around, but there are so many red flags with him that it's going to take A LOT of faith for a GM from another pro/semi-pro league to give him a chance.

I thought it was determined that all talks of him going over seas before hand were just stories made up by folks in his camp?

He had a shot at playing in China, but he wasnt messin wit it ...the Europe **** was from his camp tho

Link?

Because I thought he was over there for a exhibition series of games with TMAC and White Chocolate and those dudes.

Yea...if I remember correctly there was absolutely NO truth to him being offered a Euro contract for 750k.

He was playing on some touring team in China with Bonzi Wells and T-Mac. Dude bounced early b/c of the difficulties he had away from the East Coast. Said he had a real hard time w/ the food...which was one of the reasons he left.

He's gonna look back on that when he's in his late 20's/early 30's and realize how trivial of an excuse "the food" is for not taking advantage of such an opportunity.

Lenny, Korleone, DeAngelo Collins, etc need to reach out to him and get in his ear about staying the straight and narrow.

Man, tell me about it. I feel bad for him because he's got/had the chance of a lifetime and he's pissing it away. He's ridiculously talented, but talent alone isn't enough to keep him on a roster due to the potential headaches he'll cause. I just don't know what the next step is for him from here. Probably gonna find him in b-more hooping at the rec center from here on out :{

I think we are slightly fooling ourselves for considering him NBA talent. I think at best he was a D-League dude. At best. I liked his game but I never thought he was a League type talent. overseas type dude sure. He is where he belongs once he gets his head together and goes over the water.

I think the D-League had become more useful for players to set up European deals than actually making any NBA roster. If he's in Maine playing I might try to check him out.

Damn dude skipped college and now being picky about where he wanna play :{

Damn man. I wanted shorty to succeed so badly because he's from my city, and side of town. Aquille is a legend out here, and is a real representation of a young dude from Baltimore. From the boosie, fronts, clothes, tats and how he talks, Aquille is as Baltimore as it gets and reps his city hard. Good or bad. It's refreshing to see that kinda honestly from a high profile bball player, in an age where a lot of the kids seemed already media trained. kinda reminds me of AI How he carried it.

His NBA chances were always slim, but I always felt he had NBA talent, but not the mindset. Outta all the great talent that's come out this city recently, I felt he was the most dominant at the HS level.

I remember before he even started HS, there were rumblings that he had some red flags, and was not the brightest. Still, I thought he could get it together.

Here's to hoping he gets a good opportunity overseas. Wanna see shorty shine mane.

If he couldn't handle the D-League he definitely ain't gonna make it overseas.

:lol

If you were to create a type of player that would exemplify everything Europeans hate about American basketball, a shoot first 5'6 point gaurd would be it.

That kid is making stupid short term decisions. Well, atleast he won't be an old fool, he did that as a young'n.
