Ben Wallace overreacted to a hard foul and chested up with Artest, who repeatedly backed away, trying to avoid the altercation Wallace wanted to get into. I mean, that's exactly why Artest was on the scorers table; he was trying to avoid Wallace, who definitely wanted to throw hands.

Artest went after someone who threw beer on him. Really though, how many of you would be cool with playing ball at the park and then chesting up to someone you were playing with, and then someone ELSE over on the side throws beer on you? Like, really... how many?

And S-Jax went all Tyson in the stands, for no g.d. reason.

Jermaine O'Neal went all Mortal-Kombat-sliding-punch on the court.

And Artest comes out of the whole ordeal as the one everyone blames?

pretty much...stephen jackson and jermaine shouldve been suspended for at least as much as artest...big ben at least half the season forinstigating it...but yo that pacers team was stacked they wouldve won that whole thing

What? He can't foul him? This is basketball, you getfouled, be a man about it. I don't care about the score or whatever, if you can't take a foul and be a man about it, then play another sport.

I know how crazy Artest is, but anybody gets a beer thrown on them for no reason would react in a violent manner. Maybe not as much as he was, but he wasstaying out of the fight until that point. Hell, he didn't even react when Wallace gave him a hard shove.

I STRONGLY disagree with people that act like Stephen Jackson went into the stands just to "fight." He went there INITIALLY to GET Artest, but assoon as someone splashed the drink on Artest's face is when Stephen Jackson went after that guy. THAT was the reason why he threw ANY punch. Those of you who weren't watching this game, the whole thing started the play BEFORE where that youtube clip picks up.

On the other side of the court with the Pacers on offense, Ben and Ron came together over there. Then when they come down the court and Ben gets the ball andArtest hits him, THAT is why Ben reacted. I know this because I saw the initial confrontation and I thought.......

"yo, somethin's up......let me keep my eyes on this a sec......let's see......yup, there's a hard foul, ....yeah, here we go......

.........and then, ......

Ron gets blamed becasue he was the first dude into the stands. Period. S-Jax was the nut job goin nuts first, Ron actually grabbed the wrong guy at first,but held back from throwing any punches at first, Jax was the one throwin, but then the actual beer tosser started to clock Ron from behind and then Ronfinally said enough with this and began punchin dudes.

So bottom line, Ron started somethin on the offensive side of the floor, retaliated on the defensive side of the floor, then tried to chill and let Ben blowoff stream, and then was first one into the crowd. He was totally at fault for it all, but he was first in 3 different instances. He gets the blame.


One of the greatest moments I have ever seen. It was even better then Tyson eating Evander's ear for lunch and dinner.
