Thank you.

Dudes is getting gassed off of some 3s??

Man, if Gallo had some of Kukoc's game, then I'd say he's a star in the making.

But as it stands, Gallo has no D, can't board, no post game, no playmaking ability, no handles....

True, he can acquire some of these skills as time goes on.

But right now I don't see any difference between Danilo and Jason Kapono.

Just expect a loss, it won't hurt as much.
Just got in from the game, I bounced midway through the 4th only to hear that wild comeback on the radio

gallo has the right heart, confidence, and attitude to turn into a star. we're not gassed cuz he's hitting some 3s, we're gassed cuz besides forhim there really isnt anything else to root for at the way the knicks are playing. and gallo does have handles, he's a underrated defender, and a OK postgame. so horrible comparison seriously

I honestly think Gallo has shown that ability, but in small spurts. With Duhon/Nate/Harrington and all these other dudes, all Gallo really has asa responsibility is to knock down open 3s. But there has been a few times where he's shown he has passing/ball-handling ability and so on. His problemisn't that he can't do those things....moreso it seems like he's been given a specific role, so he really doesn't get much oppurtunity to showthe other areas of his game.

gallo has most of what was mentioned.
no one is getting gasses, we're just proud that walsh didnt make the wrong choice drafting him. hes showing us a glimspe of waht is instored of us in thefuture.

Great scoring ability, long range threat, quick, court vision, great defender and a good rebounding guard.
not buying these. so far he has proved me wrong tho.
But right now I don't see any difference between Danilo and Jason Kapono
c'mon now...anyway, if things go according to plan, he does not need to be a star. put him as a 3rd option and he'll be an incredibleasset.
Wilson Chandler NEEDS to get his act together.
i like will, always have. loved the pick of him 3 years ago. but there comes a point where you break down barriers and elevate your game or youbecome content with what you are. he is the latter right now. not getting to work on his game this summer was a tough break but mentally, there is no reason tobe as passive as he is with his potential. by nature i think that is just the way he is. he's a soft spoken guy. he needs a fire lit under him.

Thing is, no one on this team looks like they have that leadership mentality to yell at another teammate when they're clearly not playing up to par. Neither does the coaching staff. Unless Darko starts getting mad. He might just wipe everyone out and be the only one left

Look, I'm not trying to dis Gallo.

But I think a lot of you have never seen Kapono play or something.

I actually compared their numbers and I see a LOT of similarities.

Granted, Gallo has only played in 30 or so games. But I just don't see this "superstar" that you guys are seeing.
ohwell.gif

Only thing Gallo has over Kapono so far in his career is rebounds per game.

Hell, look at Toni's numbers as a rookie in the NBA:

15-5-4 in his second season on 50% shooting.... Ya'll can only hope that Gallo gives you those all-around numbers this year.

but he's 21 years old, toni was an established name in basketball when he came over.

kapono is a spot up shooting specialist at 6'6.

i don't see many similarities outside of shooting

That's not enough for you?

A tall, non-athletic, marksman?

Those are 3 similar qualities right there.

I thought the Rooster was this big time pro over in Italy from a teenager?

wait wait wait, are we really arguing the difference between jason and danilo?
rooster is like a machine from the 3 point line, can handle, has a decent court vision/passing.
ill admit, he may not be an allstar, but hes a great role player that knows his role, and doesnt demand the ball as much as he should.

Toni started playing pro ball at 18. So he had 7 seasons under his belt by the time he hit the L.

Danilo started playing pro ball at 15. So he currently has 5 seasons under his belt.

Not as wide a margin as you probably thought. And it's definitely enough time under his belt to show us SOMETHING this year no?

Anyway, I'll be the 1st to eat crow if the Rooster proves me wrong.

So I'll end this here. Not trying to make it seem as if I have a vendetta against the kid.

He should show something (which he has thus far).

I'm thinking/predicting he'll show more as he gets more comfortable as the season goes on. Right now, more or less he's the designated shooter.Once teams adjust to him, they'll run him off the three point line. From there, he better show something else.

Dude... he was going through a back injury last season and only played about 26 games out of 82 and average maybe around 15minutes (i think)
This is pretty much his rookie season, and the third game in....

Anywho, this team suck and we might not even land a superstar, our best chance of landing a star is not Lebron, not Wade, not Bosh, it's Stoudamire

i wouldn't mind

Felton/ Douglas
Joe Johnson/Chandler
Rudy Gay/ Gallo
Lee/Harrington
Stoudamire/ Darko

I know thats a reach but so what...

Glad people seem to be coming around on Gallo.

When he hit that three to bring us within 1 with 11 seconds left, the Garden went crazy. Great finish to regulation, horrible OT.

Gallinari's got the tools to be a very very good player. He's already getting played close on the perimeter, and a couple times tonight he used that tohis advantage and tried to drive to the basket. Over time, he'll get more opportunities to dive with people playing him so close. It'll also help whenpeople aren't willing to leave Gallinari at the perimeter to help on D.

He's perfect for D'Antoni's offense.

Yea it is.. defensively only... But i think we can get Stoudamire very easily, then comes JJ/Gay/Felton/ then Wade/Bron/Bosh
