I get that the Padres have spent a lot of money, but with how they’ve performed this season, would be foolish not to sell and re tool. Get back assets you gave up for Soto. Hell you could even flip those to help retool in the offseason.

Angels doing everyone in the AL West a favor by delaying the inevitable and losing the rare chance to acquire a haul to set their club up for years to come. Great if they're sincerely going for it, but I feel like this is just smokescreen from Arte to get media off his back a bit for not trading Ohtani.

I don’t think, for me, the tenor changed lol. They are more than likely going to lose him in the offseason for nothing and had the opportunity to reset their farm system and possibly retool their roster.

He’s on the wrong side of 30. That contract is gonna look awful the last 3/4 years. I think I saw a graphic that they literally only have one guy on the team besides Judge that is an above league avg hitter.

You could get a huge haul for him. Every contender would make you an offer for him.
