Angels doing everyone in the AL West a favor by delaying the inevitable and losing the rare chance to acquire a haul to set their club up for years to come. Great if they're sincerely going for it, but I feel like this is just smokescreen from Arte to get media off his back a bit for not trading Ohtani.

Padres should sell. They’re 6-7 since the break, about to play a 3 game series against Tex. The rest of their schedule in August and September is no joke either.

Believe me I’m in the same boat for them to sell but I don’t think they’re going to. Preller and Seidler spent way too much money to throw in the towel this quick but they really need to reconsider. They can get really good value back for those guys and try and retool for 2024. My wife is going to dinner with someone in the front office on the 31st gonna see what she can find out
