2019-20 New York Jets season thread. 1-4 (10/21 vs NE MNF)

Maye's a good player. Not mad at all with the pick.

Is he? What's the word on him 8o

Marcus Maye missed only 1 tackle across 438 snaps last season. He owned the 4th-highest tackling efficiency among FBS safeties in 2016.

Honestly, Devin probably would've been cut this year anyway. Dude can't stay healthy and hasn't show anything on the field that would say he could live up to that 2nd round pick. The QB battle will be between Hack, Petty and McCown. We'll see who comes out of that.

Are you folks happy with the outcome of the draft? Do you think we could've done better? Was there a player that you preferred over one we picked that was on the board when we made our pick?

Crazy and unfortunate that Devin re-tore the same ACL. He's probably as good as gone off this team.

Leggett have the potential to be the TE we need?

Gabe Marks is gonna be good. Don't worry. He's also really funny.

Chase Hansen was doing some work last year.

Leggett was Deshaun's TE and the 2nd best receiver on that Clemson team, so we got raw weapons. Just need to develop them.

And get someone who can throw a forward pass...

After using their first two picks in the 2017 NFL Draft on safeties, the Jets have opted not to pick up the fifth-year option on former first-rounder Calvin Pryor, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Good riddance

He's still under contract this season. Crazy that he's only 24.

I've been saying the past two seasons that he would be a much better fit in the Polamalu/Sean Taylor era of hard hitting safeties.

So we're 100% tanking right? No way you cut Marshall and go into next year with these QBs thinking of anything else. Why would Bowles be ok with that, knowing he's out if they stink again.
