They went 22-18 that season with Westbrook and without Durant.
i agree with this completely . 1st round and out is they ceiling with the current makeup of this squad, unless they get lucky like portland did this year. portland wasnt a real 2nd round caliber squad . was a total fluke. . people forgetting who westbrook is and are really overlooking all his flaws and what we know bout him. cant shoot , bad at finishing at the rim , doesnt have the benefit of playing one on one anymore, bad in crunch time , low iq and bad decision maker. he may get a lot of assist but its misleading. he cant run a offense good.
With the perfect storm, OKC can grab a 5th or 6th seed.
In all likelihood, they'll probably be 7th to 9th seed out west.
Russ doesn't shoot well enough and flat out isn't good enough to carry an offense by himself, and that team finish higher than like a 6th seed. If they finish with the 6th seed, I would consider that a success.
If i'm not mistaken, Russ was an assist machine last year but over half of his assist came via the combos of Russ to KD and Russ to Serge on pick and pop action. He'll still get his numbers, but they won't be nearly as efficient and the Thunder will be on the losing end of a lot of his spectacular nights.
42-40.
Breh, no, just, noBen Mclemore for Oladipo. OKC gets their "shooter", and Kings get their "PG".
