Worst part about the pic I posted is that we only got 10 guys on the field. There on then 3 yard line and we got two deep safeties  linebackers are also off The ball at the behind the goal line  leaves 4 defensive lineman against 6 oline man  makes a lot of sense.

There's 11 guys. There's a WR and CB not in the picture at the bottom of the formation

The two deep safeties alignment is just ******* stupid.

Dnofrio is a bonehead. Everyone has known this from the get go, from day one I, along with many others, said he would be Golden's downfall and he proves it every game he's allowed to be on the sidelines

Yeah, I don't disagree. I just wish these dudes would employ a good defense. Even Sumlin, who now has access to some of the best recruits still ain't really stressing it.
Facts don't really agree with that statement about Sumlin not really stressing defense...

Using the 247Composite rankings and starting with the 2009 class (kids Mike Sherman recruited, who would be seniors or RSJrs in Sumlin's first year):

2009 class (Sherman) - 15 defensive recruits, 0 Top247 (only 8 were still on the team in 2012, with one of those 8 switching to TE)
2010 class (Sherman) - 8 defensive recruits, 0 Top247 (I believe 6 or 7 were still on the team in 2012)
2011 class (Sherman) - 11 defensive recruits, 3 Top247 (8 remaining in 2012)
2012 class (Sherman/Sumlin) - 9 defensive recruits, 1 Top247 (the 1 Top247 guy was a guy Sumlin flipped after taking over, only 4 players from this class are still on the team)
2013 class (Sumlin's first full year) - 18 defensive recruits, 5 Top247
2014 class (Sumlin) - 11 defensive recruits, 8 Top247
2015 class (Sumlin) - so far, 11 defensive commits, 4 Top247

Sumlin's been having to patch a ton of holes that Sherman left on the roster, primarily in the front 7. He hasn't had enough time yet to be able to build the depth and talent needed. There's so much more emphasis on defensive recruiting than there ever was under Sherman or Fran.

This year should be the first year he'll have decent depth and talent, with next year being a huge indication of which way that unit is trending.

 "The ACC is trash".

Just a terrible, terrible weekend for the conference. Good thing FSU won their game.

Zona down 28-6 to Cal at home?

Is Rich Rod walking the plank at the end of this season?
Rich rod is god down there
When does Kyle Allen transfer out of A&M? He should have picked UCLA

why? he would be in the same position

These air raid squads need to hire decent defensive coordinators.
His DC has done a wonderful job so far.

Marked improvement in 3 weeks over te last few years. Last night was about talent catching up to them more than scheme
Last night was as much the offensive play calling's fault as lack of defensive talent.

Dudes were throwing it, taking no time off the clock up 3 TDs. Zona had all the time in the world to mount that come back.

Great look. Roper was pissed as hell yesterday cause Opie just continually makes bad decisions. If the guys are turning on him get his *** outta there.

So the question remains is can a team field a elite defense while running a high powered HUNH offense?

Bama's running a no huddle this year with Kiffin.

If USC and UCLA keep recruiting well in theory both of them could? Oregon COULD.

The problem is HUNH teams don't leave their defense any time to rest, even when they're scoring on 4-5 big plays.

Phillip buchanon is unleashing his cannon right now on Twitter. Somebody post them before he deletes them idk how to link them over
