Loyalty, although an admirable virtue, is something that should be separated from business as a worst case scenario, meaning you should always know it's inevitable to be lost at best.

Yea he rubbed a lot of people wrong. Nets first and foremost. It will haunt him with some, and some won't give a ****. For instance, the new owners in Milwaukee. It was said that they also have(probably had now) minority ownership in the Nets as well so there was collusion or someone who believed in Kidd when the other people in the Nets front office didn't. If he succeeds nobody is going to care when and if they have the oppurtunity to have him as a part of their organization in the future.
And some will blacklist him on GP forever.

Ding ding ding. You know dudes were seething with rage when Kerr got all that money. The coaching fraternity seems like one of those fraternities where they dont like newcomers, you gotta start off as an assistant and do that for ten years (CHIP ENGELLAND IS UP NEXT) before you can get a shot at a head coaching gig. The coaches fraternity is some real stuff, they dont like new people in it, and this is going to be another reason why.
Kidd is very foul for all of this and once his stint here is over its going to be hard to get someone else to hire him.

All these players want immediate gratification. They can't wait two to three years to build a contender, it's gotta be built today and when that flops and in to 2-3 years when the team sucks since they've been drained of assets in order to trade for you they want to leave. The superstar athlete is becoming too entitled and overvalued. I blame the media, CAA and inflation.
