Thanks for the insight.

Meh, lebron doing what lebron does. We all get it, he doesn't want to work for it (and really who does?) he just wants to win. He doesn't care about legacy.

I'm not so sure Cleveland will walk to a title next year or even the finals. Even with K Love, the Bulls and Wizards are gonna give this Cavs team fits. Lebron is the only unfavorable match up both teams have against the Cavs. You throw in a new coach and the first time these guys have played together and it's not a lock by any means. Let's not even talk about the Western Conference teams. This team is not nearly the juggernaut the Heat were; Lebron is gonna have to work to get Cleveland their first title.

Because what does it prove? Why do ya'll care about his legacy so much? He won two titles while carrying a team on his back while in Miami. That's his legacy in Miami.
Bron didn't carry the team that's false
wade bosh battier miller allen all put in work Bron hardly even showed out it was a team effort

You can't compare the Heat situation with the Cavs.

The Heat gave up nothing to acquire Bosh and Bron, to put along side Wade.

The Cavs, are giving up their two first overall picks, plus another future first rounder for Love.

I explained it earlier already, it's addition by subtraction. A large subtraction too.
Let me ask you this. What will be your opinion of the season if the Cavs dont win it all?

kyrie was already there along with loads of young talent. Serious question, do you really think he wouldve returned had they not gotten a top 3 pick? He knew and most likely influenced trading wiggy for love

I'm not sure what your opinion on Kyrie is, but the general consensus here in NT is that although he's got talent, he's a ball-dominant PG who could turn out to be this generation's Marbury. I don't agree with it, but this has been stated many times before. Yes Cavs certainly have good amount of young talent, but they are not playoff tested and will be tested when they get there this season.

There is a huge double standard here in NT. On one side LeBron bolted for a younger team which gives him a better chance to win the chip, then on the other side, people are claiming Kyrie, Love and the rest of the team amount to nothing because they haven't been to playoff yet, like they all gonna suck when they play the playoff games. Do you really see Kyrie and Love sinking to the bottom when they play in May and possibly June? I highly doubt it.

And as I've stated before, Cavs have been linked with Love prior to LeBron signing. Having LeBron there accelerated the process and made sure that Love will stick around after the next season.

So what if Bron had a say in acquiring Love? It's not like Cavs gave up nothing to get him. They had to give up future for present by trading Wiggins and Bennett away. And it could very well have been the other way around. Dan Gilbert told him that Cavs could get Love, then Bron decided to join. Who knows? As a team, they are supposed to strive for greatness.

Lol kyrie is my favorite player. The kid will shine when it's time. With or without love I saw yall walking through the east and getting dropped in the finals. What I was responding to was the "he left to Cleveland and then people flocked." Thats not true, cleveland already had the pieces in place when bron went back. Even with no love they still have kyrie and wiggy, he wasnt returning to the team of nobodies he left in 2010. And the only reasons I'm mad at lebron are because he got one of my favorite players traded (thats more a personal thing lol) but moreso that this guy writes a letter saying how hes ready to mentor the young guys and how he knows theyre not ready and hes ready for a challenge and then gets the last 2 1st overall picks traded for love. That letter was 100% ********.

I honestly am not expecting a championship this season.

Anything short of a championship will be disappointing, but truthfully you have one proven champion with a bunch of young'ns. You have to expect some sort of hardship with this team. Lebron isn't getting younger, but he's getting wiser. He's going to utilitize the hell out of these young players to carry the load when he cannot. So we're going to see how these young players adjust their game, because that is inevitable.

So the first year; it'll be adjusting to each others game - sort of like the 2010-2011 Heat team (can't believe I'm even comparing).

Definitely an expectation of getting to the Finals. But going up against the Spurs, OKC and LAC will be no easy task. So I'm not setting up myself to be upset if we can't overcome the West in year one..

Well I agree with you that trading Wiggins for Love goes against his statement in the letter. Just to let u know of my stance, I was against the trade, and if Cavs were going to get Love, Wiggins should never have been in the deal. I know that is close to impossible, but I did not want the team to give up on the future just to go into the Win-now mode, although Kyrie and Love are young enough to contend for years to come.

But again, without the guys that decided to come to Cleveland after Bron committed, Cleveland did have good talent but I'm not 100% sure that team is better than what Miami could offer. I think it's more on LeBron wanting to come home and cement his legacy as the home-town savior and possibly bringing the championship banner to the city of Cleveland, which has not tasted such thing in a long long time.

It just so happened that Cavs offered decent talent for LeBron to decide to come home this season.

Who cares about LeBron recruiting teammates. People just wanna argue and hate out of boredom.

This. And personally, I'm just over debating "legacy" for particular players. It's too subjective and agenda-driven to mean anything anyway. Plus, I've really come to believe that comparisons for players accross different eras just don't make sense. The game itself may be the same, but it's apples to oranges as far as the ways teams are built and players relate to eachother.

You swear like he was going to write a letter about his true feelings :lol
It was nothing but a PR statement done by his management

Really with Bron n love yall are abviously favorites but that doesn't give u a lock to get out of the east

You guys besides Lebron the lack of playoff experience plus a first year nba coach might not work out that we'll

Chi and Washington are both tougher teams and I don't much of the wiz coach but we have the coach to get things done

It really can be either 3 come out the east

I'm infinitely more worried about Bulls than Wiz :lol

I don't think Washington has enough in the frontcourt to truly contend for a title yet. They have Nene and Gortat, but they don't really compare to Bulls (Gasol and Noah) or Cavs (Bron and Love).

As for the backcourt I'm not as high on Beal as other NTers around here. I saw some claimed that he's a future max player, but that's really reaching imo

Wall, Rose, and Kyrie are all talented PGs but I just like Kyrie's chance as Rose is coming back from almost 2 years hiatus (although he looked pretty damn good in the US team scrimmage), and Wall is still shaky with his jumper.

I anticipate that if Chicago and Cleveland do meet in ECF, it will be Defense vs. Offense, and I hope Offense prevails, like how Miami was able to in 2011 8o

Thank goodness someone with some common sense. Let's dead the legacy talk please :lol it's stupid

I think the miami team he left and the cleveland team he went to are neck and neck. While the miami team wouldve prolly had a better chance in the finals, the cleveland team cuts alot of the workload down on him. He put himself in the best situation for his future and I feel as if he knew that if he wouldve waited 1 more year, then they wouldnt have been able to get love. Imo it was 90% basketball 10% coming home.

Did you not watch the playoffs last year?

Nene/Gortat made Noah/Gibson their stepsons. And the front court has MORE depth this season.

Didn't nene and tata man handle the bulls with no effort?

And I agree 100% with you lol. It was just something that shouldnt have been done if he wasnt ready to back it up imo. Shouldve just said I'm coming home ontwitter and ig and left it at that

Nene n Gortat were getting boards repeatedly.. Was very frustrating

Rose going to be alright n when he's running things we have a different flow so last year is irrelevant to this year especially with our additions... But it's up in the air any 3 can get out the east..
