LeBron gets so much heat for "supposedly" playing a GM role and recruiting players to play with him.
I hated the way he left for Miami and form big 3 because I am absolutely sure that Bron, Wade and Bosh all planned it years before and purposefully signed a shorter contract just in right time play with each other.
But this time around, all we know is that Bron went back to Cleveland, THEN players flocked to play with him. There was actually a rumor before Bron came aboard that Cleveland was interested in acquiring Love, but back then there was no way Love would re-sign with Cleveland. LeBron on the team completely changed that picture though. So what does the Cavaliers organization supposed to do? This was a chance to immediately build a contender team in just one off season.
And as for Bron, what are you supposed to do? shove them off? We all know that even though he wrote in that letter he's willing to develop the team, deep down he wanna win the chip in Cleveland badly. It will definitely cement his legacy as one of the greatest.
I'm not sure what MJ's stance was when Bulls acquired Rodman, but I'm sure he was glad to get a good player to play alongside him.
Ditto for Kobe when Pau came along.
Why such hate for Bron?
