Don't get me wrong, Kobe was a beast defensively in bunches and over the course of some years. Was he the defensive juggernaut that all of those All-Defensive teams lead one to believe? Hell noMan almost half of his joints are bogus(Maybe not half, but quite a few)

100% agree. He's had moments when he was flat out stellar defensively. Especially during the shaq years. Straight hounding 1's and 2's and 3's all over the floor. I remember when Phil first got there he would use Kobe to guard the opposing 1's to disrupt teams and get them out of their sets, along with guarding the other team's top wings. He was that good and consistent on that end back then.
But his defense to me wasn't nearly as consistent once shaq left. You only saw it spurts and stretches.

Agree with that . After Shaq left dude got lazy defensively ... I give that to mac. Its hard to play both sides of the floor when you have to carry the team offensively which is what he had to Do. Mac was a good not great or lockdown defender in to.
