Take away the height if it makes you happy. Still doesn't take away from what he did from 2000-2006.

But, You said Kobe was the best 2 in the league after 99 and that it wasn't even close.

Just shut up and sit this one out. You don't know what you're talking about.

What was the average age of shooting guards tho when Kobe came into the league :lol , doesn't matter to you though but since we're giving out bonus points for exigent circumstances surely a high schooler should get a few points.

If Kobe was a high schooler in the NBA putting up numbers, he would and should surely get credit for that.

But, I think he graduated HS before he got to the NBA, so he wasn't really a high schooler when he was in the NBA.

Sorry :\

You know damn well what I mean , you get the point but go ahead and act dense brah :{

Avg Sg height wasnt 6'7 either sorry :rolleyes

23 :hat

Blokes in here overrating AI and TMac per usual. It had been a while since the last debate.

It's only right.
How? He himself said the league should retire the number so no one can wear it anymore, but now it's "only right?"
laugh.gif
This. Only further solidfies the theory that the only reason he said that was cause he knew he was going to Miami and the number is retired there

Bron going back to 23 because he wants it to be like it was...but it will NEVER be like it was.

I'm biased but we should give him extra credit cuz Iverson was so small...

:lol

And T-Mac should get extra credit because he was always hurt... purely based off speculation. Right.

Also, dudes get dogged on here for defense all the damn time. Yet in these arguments, it's never a point of discussion.

When it comes down to it in this argument, there is apparent bias from both sides. That inescapable.

What's the average height for a 2 guard in the NBA? I'll wait...

And Kobe came into his own at 22 years of age, the age of a college senior so I don't even get what you mean by he should be getting credit for being 17 in the NBA...

McGrady actually played with some good to solid players with the Rockets

Yao Ming, Battier, Scola, Bonzi Wells, Juwan Howard, Derek Anderson, Jim Jackson, Rafer, Dikembe, Carl Landry, Wesley, Mike James

And no one here is arguing this. But to say Kobe was far and way the best 2 in the L after 99'? That's laughable man. He said it wasn't even close b.

Wasn't. Even. Close.

:rollin

Crazy how early he had his mind made up because i remember that miami game was early in the season :{

He gave up on the cavs after that 09 season, that was supposed to be his year, kobe vs bron

Yeah I'll agree with that. The debate was definitely there and until the 05-06 season AI and Mac definitely had a claim. All three dudes were great in their own ways.

Excellent squad but never healthy. Damn shame.

Actually I do. Kobe is superior to Ai and tmac . That's a fact not an opinion.

I agree to disagree. And I believe I said after 03 it wasn't close n I believe that...

..if I said it quote me and I'll gladly agree I was wrong..from 98-02 it was close. After that I don't think it was.
I watch games I don't keep track of stats...

Also, Kobe's individual defense really took a hit from the 02-03 season onward. (Aside from 03-04, when I thought he was really good) Due mostly to the increased scoring load and not having Shaq back behind you anymore. (04-05 onward)

I agree to disagree.

See, now you're changing the entire discussion b.

I think everyone would agree that Kobe is superior than Ai and MacMan so again, what are you talking about dude?

By the way, that isn't "fact." You must not know what a fact is.

This is why I told you to sit this one out bro. You're making a fool of yourself.

When Iverson came in damn sure wasnt 6'7 , MJ was considered a big 2 guard for that time and he was 6'6 so how the hell is the avg 6'7 :lol ridiculous.

So I guess Kobe wasnt an all atar teenager in the NBA but I guess that doesn't count to you either :{, it's clear you aren't the hoops encyclopedia you think you are :lol. It's not your fault, u can only learn so much from scouring youtube and then pretending you seen it happen in context.

Definitely disagree with this. He didn't keep up the same defensive intensity, but he was definitely still an elite defender up until like 09. Picked and choosed his spots at times but in big moments and games dude had the ability to lock down. That is damn valuable. AI and T-Mac NEVER possessed that ability, even in there primes. And that is very important.

TMac came into the league as a lockdown defender though so did he NEVER posses that ability?
