I'd take Pau in the OKC, I actually hope they take a stab at him or ZBO, they can leave the defense wherever they left it, just bring what you have mmmk.

Maybe if this was at least a 2011 Pau. This is 3 years later. That 17 and 9 may look good on the stat sheet, but actually watching him play was pathetic

Why would you want to watch him play? Game footage lies, numbers don't. You telling me you wouldn't want to trade a young athletic 20 something year old who likely won't even pan out for a proven 17 and 9 night in and night out? Pau's best basketball is still ahead of him

Pau to OKC isn't bad. Russ, Serge, Durant defensively is pretty good, would somewhat mask him, but he'd still see 9 million picks and rolls a game.

But offensively, Perk to him would be unreal.

Kill that buzz. Pau in OKC without some massive paycut is not only unrealistic but it wouldn't work out. Pau doesn't add anything for OKC defensively and his overall game has been on a decline anyway. OKC wants explosive athletes who can defend down low and run the floor, something of a DeAndre Jordan-lite.

On the flip side they need someone can get buckets under any circumstance, and I don't know where they're going to find that guy.

How OKC is good with Pau defensively, but Memphis isn't?

How many players did OKC have make All NBA Defense over the last couple of years or won DPOY? 1 in Ibaka. How many the Grizz have? 3. Grizz had one of the best defensive backcourts in the league when Conley and Allen were on the court and have one of the best defensive anchors in the game right now. But, replacing Pau with Zbo means they will decline. Okay

What exactly am I missing here? This isn't even factoring in any other defenders this team brings in and some of the good defenders already on the team that I didn't even mention. For those of you that have watched Memphis, you know that Memphis problems is not defense. As long as you have those 3 players, you are fine. Memphis problem is ball movement, scoring and shooting. Pau fixes one of those things (increases ball movement), while giving you similar production as Zbo. Someone, please truly explain to me what am I missing that makes Zbo a much better defender than Pau.

Oh and I forgot...its Pau's fault that the Lakers played no defense whatsoever for the last 2-3 years. He has definitely declined on the defensive end, but I'm a believer that if he joins a really good defensive team, he can improve somewhat in that category. Maybe become average.

This entire statement is all sorts of wrong. "Game footage lies, numbers don't"? Tell that to the extreme Lebron slanderers.

"Pau's best basketball is still ahead of him."

"Pau's best basketball is still ahead of him."

"Pau's best basketball is still ahead of him."

What.

I like Pau still, but man is he not what the rockets need. They need to spend that money on perimeter defensive specialists.

BHZ, I thought I saw you saying something about moving Allen?

And Marc is a great defender, but less mobile than Ibaka.

And I didn't say OKC would be great defensively, just that they'd survive with their offensive ridiculousness. Memphis, don't have that kind of cover up.

Pau over Perk
Or
Pau over Zack

Which is the bigger overall upgrade?

@basketballtalk Report: Kyle Lowry, Miami Heat have ‘mutual interest’ http://dlvr.it/61z285
Sigh.[/quote]Lowry goes to the Heat, they go back to the Finals.

"Ska, no one does 5 straight Finals."

idcidcidcidcidcidc

He'll be the guard that Rio & Wade aren't.

Great. Now get lowry, lebron, wade, bosh and about 5 other guys to accept less money for the sake of helping a billionaire avoid taxes

If he joins, they'd have a chance. That's a major change.

If they kept the same group, no chance.

But Chalmers to Lowry is filthy. :smh:

I swear....

This would automatically be the worst offseason ever if all of them just opt in and they somehow get Lowry and an upgrade at center.

Riley out here making moves already. Well that ruins all my Wade opt in dreams.
