:lol @ anyone who doesn't think Cuban is going to find a way to give Dirk the rest of what he's worth through some clever business deal.

Don't feel bad for Dirk, Cubans always said he'll take care of Dirk for the rest of his life. He'll be paid plenty outside of the nba, trust.

Cuban ain't a dummie, he'll find a smart legal business deal to repay Dirk.

It's funny these old heads will be gone and retired by the time the next CBA comes around, but they are ******* it up for the next generation of guys.

Owners won BIG time.

Lol at the Lakers trying to recreate JA's team in the redraft thread.

Damn all the highlight plays of Wade's career and they just had to make #1 vs Bulls? I was so pissed that night!

SMH at the guy who built that franchise having to take a paycut of that magnitude.. But yea don't worry Cuban will take care of dirk because we all know billionaires care so much about their "employees" :rolleyes.

Hell to the no. Rubio and max don't mix.

Yes. Fegan aiming for 5-yr max. RT @BrianGaranich: @DarrenWolfson With all this Love trade talk, they actually talking w/ Rubio/his agent?

You think Dirk HAD to take a paycut of that magnitude? Sounds like Dirk turned down more money in order for the Mavs to keep spending. And you know damn well Cuban will take care of Dirk :lol

So I'm supposed to believe that Dirk turned down 90 mil deals from Hou and LA? He seems like the type to do it but I have a hard time believing those teams would offer him the max. He's getting old and on the decline for sure.

If the Heat gave Chris Bosh a max, Dirk certainly would command that much.

Damn. I'm shocked. Regardless of what wink-wink deals may or may not happen in the future with Dirk/Cuban, 25 million is practically nothing.

I wonder if he took this deal to let Devin Harris in. I was wondering how they would have room to sign Parsons to the offer sheet, and keep both Devin and Dirk under their original deals. Dirk took 5 million less than his original deal.

Good man.

True, but then again they probably knew they had to offer the max in order for him to think about leaving.

Dirk really wanna win a championship

And he's still not anywhere close. I understand Duncan, they've been consistently great so it makes a little more sense, even though I still don't agree with the precedent it's setting, but still...

Mavs are a solid PG away from getting to the WCF, and maybe an injury away from getting to the Finals.
