Mike Brown is garbage.... He NEVER should have been re-hired!Yes. Plus Mike Brown was just a terrible coach. Still beyond confused as to why they re-hired him, but thank god they canned him...again....
He was the 6th man.
The bottom line is there are a lot of subpar wing defenders who still make a big difference offensively. Harden, Gay, Kevin Martin, Melo to an extent even... The poor defense is getting overstated. The past like 3 pages have been almost indecipherable.
Anthony Davis (game changing college defender) struggles on D should give you pause in projecting Jabari to be anything other than terrible but not on #NT, he will be fine.
even guys like michael kidd ghilcrist struggle alot . when you exert alot of energy into offense , aka jabari parkers bread and butter . your defense is going to struggle . or vice versa. jabari got that james harden build and game ...and look how gassed he be at the end games...especially the portland series

I'm just saying he has the skills to play the 3 and there are plenty of subpar wing defenders. Parker won't be any different.yeah and what did I say?
His ceiling depends on his ability to stick at 3.
There is a difference between a huge wing, who has a physical advantage over 90% of NBA SF's, vs an average sized 4.
What I'm saying isn't controversial.
Look Mike Beasley couldn't stay at wing and he was just as productive, just as dominant (maybe more), exact same size with a very similar game to Jabari Parker when he was at K state, how did his career turn out?
Beasley would be a lot better if he had passion for the game.
Why? He didn't show anything different before that, that I saw.He would of had a much better career by now if he didn't traded to Minnesota. IMO
He could have all the passion he wants, he still would have trouble being a productive basketball player on both ends of the floor.Beasley would be a lot better if he had passion for the game.

Beasley? Why are you bringing him up? His skill set hails in comparison to Parker's. I don't care how his career turned out Clear reach there
Nobody forgot. Beasley did not have the polish Parker has now. What happened to Beasley has nothing to do with Parker's career, bottom line.A reach?
Pails in comparison?
I see cats have already forgotten what Mike was at K state.
He put up 39 and 14 vs Kansas, how you think that happened? Mike had it all when came to scoring the ball and Jabari is smarter than Mike so he won't be out of league in 5 years but the point remains, Mike hasn't been a useful NBA player and a big part of that is his defense.

Parker played a 4 at Duke but he is fully capable of putting the ball on the deck like a guard. The way he will play in the pros will be in a creating, off the dribble role. He is capable of creating for himself and others. Beasley didn't have the same ability and that's why, among other things (dedication, focus, defense) he never panned out in the league. I would not consider Beasley a terrific ball handler at all. He doesn't create shots for himself nor others, he isn't built that way. He's more of a catch and dribble twice for a jumper, or catch in the paint, or catch and face up take two dribbles type. You are just dead wrong.
He is the exact same type of player, a 3/4, isolation, mid post scorer. Same height, same weight, same standing reach, used in the exact same way in college, both dominated the boards. terrific ball handlers, solid shooters.
How are they different?
Undersized 4's don't put up 38.9 PER in college without polish, you are mis remembering man.
How is Mike Brown garbage?? Those Cavs teams he coached with LeBron where great given with what players he had to work with outside. Plus he was the one who refined LeBron's defensive game. Also with the Lakers, everyone knows he never got a fair share. Almost anyone can admit, even Phil Jackson would have struggled winning with such an injury riddled team. Lastly, the only reason Dan Gilbert re-hired Brown this past season was an attempt to lure LeBron this offseason. However, with such a poor season, Gilbert realized that LeBron returning was a pipe dream, and getting a rookie coach for a massive rebuilding process is needed.
