I think Mitch heard ya'll complaints about not going after him.

Trading randle for Bledsoe when we could've signed Bledsoe at the beginning of free agency for free would be the dumbest **** the lakers have done in years.

How would this improve the team? Unless love is a sure thing it doesn't make sense. Not buying this one

Lakers are not going to do Randle for Bledsoe.....LAL gets mentioned for every FA!

Mitch....I like what I see so far....keep up the good work and get us back to the promise land!!!!

I understand the 'Championship or bust' mentality, but it's like you dudes have developed a new mentality.

It's like you want every year to either produce a championship, or the worst record in the league.

Every year.

We either need Larry O'Brien, or a top 5 talent.

All.

Or nothing.

;)

Because mediocre is no man's land.

And it's been TWO seasons we've wanted a top pick.

Two.

We had the #1 picks in 79 and 82. Went for it, from 80-91.

Had to re-group, develop a younger base 92-95. Wise drafts, lottery type pieces in Jones, Peeler, Lynch, home run 2nd round pick in Van Exel.

When you have the talent base, ala 96, then you go for it. We did, til 05.

When we got Bynum, we went thru 2 more poor seasons. Then trade.

We went for it, 08-13.

TWO years, we want talent pool rebuilt, younger, cheaper, deeper, then we go for it. 2015-??

Such an easy thing to see. Folks still all locked up about it. :{
But... EXPECTING.. and ONLY ACCEPTING one of those 2 things (championship or top 5 pick) is...

... nevermind, man. :lol

Randle for Bledsoe is a nonstarter.

But everything else? Absolutely. I'd clear house, and trade it all for Bledsoe. Picks, young guys (excluding Randle) etc.

Partially, because we could have Kobe, Randle, Bledsoe, max cap space next year, and in 2016 another max cap space.

Picks? As in multiple?

Well technically getting Bledsoe, guarantees the pick already going to Suns will get there. I'd trade the Rockets 1st we got. The 2nd from the Rockets, and if our 2nd falls between 31-40 it can go to the Suns. 41-60 it's the Magic.

There's not a damn thing on our roster that would attract PHX besides Randle. They don't want expiring contracts.

I think you're starting to get some things confused.

It isn't title or top 5 pick.

It's title. That's it. Only goal, title.

Come up short, you come up short. Think 2011. 3 straight Finals, vet been there, done that core, go for the title. Lose in 2nd round, oh well, that's a fail, but you went for it.

When your team is crap, and any idiot can see it's crap, like 2013 with an achilles Kobe, 40 year old Nash, washed Pau, fold. Don't waste time chasing something that isn't possible, let it all go.

This year, this season, this situation is only reason we need top 5, to keep the pick. Otherwise, we could get 6-7-8-9 pick and that would be fine. That option isn't viable this year tho.

So it's not all or nothing, whatever you're claiming. It's all or all. I didn't want the 97-98-99 team tanking, I wanted them to make a run. They came up short.

I didn't want the 05 Lakers to sell off assets for a pipe dream of making a run, let the chips fall where they may. They got 10, and a nice chip from that in Bynum.

Very, very simple thought process there. This particular year is the only one where it has to reside inside top 5.

If Kobe took 10 mil, and we tanked down to 3 and got a healthy Embiid, re-signed Pau for 7.5, signed Lance, got Lowry, kept Farmar, got someone like Channing Frye cheap, kept Henry/Kelly/Wes and maybe still got Boozer and Hill, then I would want that team to make a run for a title.

Wouldn't need to worry about that pick. But that isn't what happened. Not even close.

So for that, knowing we aren't getting anywhere close to the playoffs, I want to try and regain the lost asset for Nash's corpse. Hopefully we succeed. We have a MUCH better shot at bottom 5, than winning a title.

Simple thought process. Very simple.

Yes, completely understandable.

Finkle is Einhorn; Einhorn is Finkle.

Repped for the Ace Ventura reference.... And one of the funniest scenes in a movie when he realizes Einhorn is Finkle.
