Okafor seems kind of Brook Lopez-y skills and athletic wise.

Mudiay is the guy for me since we failed to get Exum this year. Too bad we won't have a pick.

There's 4-5 Centers in the top 7-8 guys. We could grab one to pair with Randle, or have Mudiay/Johnson as fall backs.

Either way, class could be decent. Course, I remember so many in this thread last year callin the 14 class overrated, so who knows.

^ Mine was Melo, dude was an unstoppable bully last Olympics

My boy Kobe had to go over there and show the young boys how to bring that Gold back home , definitely one of my favorite moments in his career.

Melo was on another level I gained massive respect for him after that, became one of my favorite players and still is today.

Melo + International Ball =

For me, I think it was more because I had spent all these years not rooting for him or his team, and then all of a sudden getting the chance to watch and cheer him on as a player of a team I was supporting.

Let out a lot of repressed joy and happiness I had in watching Kobe, the 08 Olympics is probably around the time I started really taking a step back and appreciating him for the player that Kobe is.

I understand the 'Championship or bust' mentality, but it's like you dudes have developed a new mentality.

It's like you want every year to either produce a championship, or the worst record in the league.

Every year.

We either need Larry O'Brien, or a top 5 talent.

All.

Or nothing.

Because mediocre is no man's land.

And it's been TWO seasons we've wanted a top pick.

Two.

We had the #1 picks in 79 and 82. Went for it, from 80-91.

Had to re-group, develop a younger base 92-95. Wise drafts, lottery type pieces in Jones, Peeler, Lynch, home run 2nd round pick in Van Exel.

When you have the talent base, ala 96, then you go for it. We did, til 05.

When we got Bynum, we went thru 2 more poor seasons. Then trade.

We went for it, 08-13.

TWO years, we want talent pool rebuilt, younger, cheaper, deeper, then we go for it. 2015-??

Such an easy thing to see. Folks still all locked up about it.

Yes, completely understandable.

Finkle is Einhorn; Einhorn is Finkle. No man's land is middle ground; middle ground is no man's land.

Roger that. You've let me and all of us know ad nauseam.

But reality holds that only 2 teams finish with a championship or a worst league record. Just 2. Every year.

Being comfortable with reality is not complacency, and realizing your powerlessness to the Lakers is not giving up.

But it appears that's how you take those 2 things.

Good. Somehow Marshall manages to have a worse shooting percentage than Nick Young, but he's loved around here.

... I'd rather take the risk with Clarkson.

Repped for the Ace Ventura reference.... And one of the funniest scenes in a movie when he realizes Einhorn is Finkle.

Lakers fans should enjoy these next couple years of Kobe and then try to get a top talent from the 2017 season

We're laker fans. We can only enjoy championships. No championships equals this

Eh, speak for yourself, it's not realistic to expect to win the title every year and it doesn't take any joy away from me supporting our guys. I do not enjoy the atrocity that was last year though, even though it had good intentions, I'm not going to be part of team tank this year. I just want to see our guys com pete even though they will probably be really bad. It's just not healthy as a sports fan to me to be all or nothing, there has to be a middle ground and natural progression 99% of the time. Can't be on top forever.

It seems like most folks are championship or bust in here. And you're team tank foreva bruh.
