It's crazy because Harden was KILLING before the playoffs started.

Like 30/5/8 on 50% 42% from 3 and he's just been terrible these first two games.

Just like last season in the playoffs, he hasn't adjusted to the refs not rewarding his attempts to get to the foul line.

^Definitely. Instead of just taking it into the paint strong, he attempts to Oscar his way to a call. If you just naturally drive, you're more likely to get a call then trying to act your way into one.

This this this. He's trying to get fouls instead of baskets. Contrary to popular belief, he doesn't always do that but when the refs make it an issue to swallow the whistle you gotta go to the rim with bad intentions and force the issue

I heard Courtney Lee was talking wreckless but I can't find the exact quote or a populated Grizzlies blog/board.

Russell Westbrook went 11-for-28 in a 105-111 Oklahoma City loss to the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 2.

The Grizzlies apparently prefer a high usage rate from Westbrook because it limits the number of opportunities Kevin Durant receives.

"We're fine with Westbrook taking shots, I mean, that's kinda what you want - the more shots he takes, the less Durant takes," said Courtney Lee.

I mean, he's not lying :lol .

That's not so bad. Dudes were making it sound like it was bulletin board material. It's a bit oversimplistic from a basketball x's and o's point of view, but whatevs. He hit that huge 3 in overtime. He deserves to be feeling himself despite having a girl first name

The funny thing is, that's only going to make Westbrook take more shots. I'm sure he read that quote and I know he's going to try and prove everyone wrong. That can either be a good thing for Memphis or a really bad thing, depending on if he's "on" or not.

That Lamarcus for Tyrus trade still haunts us till this day...
Even worse IMO was trading a prime (MVP candidate) Brand for the rights to draft Tyson Chandler, who never really amounted to much till the late years in his career.

The Krause (Krumbs) era was bad after the 98 season....and that bum still didn't get fired!
He retired due to health reasons :{

Was Brand really  an MVP candidate??

or was he an MVP candidate sort of how I consider Peja 03-04, Jermaine O'neal 03-04, Webber 01-02 to be MVP candidates back in the day?

edit: Nevemind, Brand finished 16th during his MVP candidate season with the Bulls

Peja finished 4th, JO 3rd, Webber 7th

Courtney Lee sucks... he holds the Grizz back so much at that 2 spot considering all he's asked to do is pick a spot and knock down open jumpers.

“Wherever that kid’s gone, when he was at Denver, they had a team that fooled around with the ball, fooled around with the ball, then all of the sudden when they needed a basket, threw it to Carmelo,” Robertson said of Anthony’s time with the Nuggets. “Then, when he shot the ball, they said he shot too much. Then, when he didn’t shoot, they said he didn’t shoot enough. No matter what he does in New York, they’re going to criticize him, the people are going to criticize him, because you got guys on [the Knicks] that just cannot play.”

When Spike insisted things would change for the Knicks with the hiring of Phil Jackson, Robertson replied, “Let me ask you: When was the last time Phil Jackson played?”

“I think Phil is great to have gotten $12 million out of [Knicks owner Jim Dolan]. Super job. Take the money and run,” Robertson said. “If I were Carmelo, I would say, ‘Listen, I’m not gonna stay here and take all this gruff and all this criticism. You got other guys on the team making $12, $15, $16 million and doing nothing, and here I am averaging 28, 29 points per game.’”

“If he goes to Houston, they’re gonna win everything,” Robertson said. “You look at LeBron, LeBron’s got a great game, Durant’s got a great game – they can’t out-shoot Carmelo.”

That’s right, Robertson confirmed: Anthony, in his opinion, is a better scorer than Kevin Durant.

“I’m telling you right now,” Robertson told Spike, “the kid, he can just get that shot away. He’s gotten smarter, he’s going to the basket a lot.”

“What gets me,” Robertson added, “everyone thinks that everything that happens bad is [Anthony's] fault.”

C'mon now he was never an MVP candidate while with us , but as soon as he landed on the. clipppers he flourished.
I want to say it was the 05 season when he averaged 25-10-2-2
He ended up in the conversation for MVP, but he was never really taken seriously given the fact he played for the clippers :rollin
