if James Harden isn't a first option, how many first options do we really have in the L? :{

I'm calm. If you're going to clown me though, expect to get clowned back.

And on the serious note, just now I had to actually think for a minute to remember what Swaggy P's real name was.
Keep thinking it's really Swaggy P

Wouldn't surprise me if he get's it legally changed, Chad Ochocinco style. But then again, Swaggy seems to have better things to do.

I
You would think Rondo would create some open looks for Harden rather than him just shooting off iso ball every time, right?

Harden does his best work off the dribble though, I barely see him score off the ball even when he's playing with Lin and Bev.

We don't run him off any screens. We literally give him the ball, let his defender and the rest of the defense sink in, and hope he gets buckets. How exactly will Rondo help that?

I understand wanting to upgrade the PF position on the surface, but Terrence Jones has been pretty good this season.

He's just ran up on against the worst possible match up for him.

He's been good, and yet routinely TORCHED by the elite PFs. He literally hasn't stood a chance. He's undersized at the 4. In the halfcourt, he has a lot of growing to do on both sides off the ball.

:LOL the hyperbole in this thread is amazing

Weren't people crowning Paul George as the next great thing last year in the playoffs until LeBron abused him?

Harden is a number one option and has been all year. He's not playing well, and I don't know what's wrong with him. A lot of this falls on McHale too though.

It's pretty that clear the HE IS the #1 option.
IMO it's also clear that he shouldn't be.

No, it's not clear he shouldn't be the number 1 option. You're being ridiculous :lol

H
Yes.

Annnd yes.

It's so simple. :lol
he's been the number one guy all year and now because of two games he suddenly isn't a viable number option? We're also talking about someone who is 24 years old. He has room to grow as a player.

Its not just the two games its been a trend for his past 3 series, I hope he turns it around

Even with his poor shooting last year, he still put up 27 6 and 5. That's not a poor series, especially against OKC.

He is a 1st option, but the question is whether he is a 1st option that can lead a team to a championship. I'm in the camp that doesn't think so. And as far as how many of those kind of guys there are in the league now, the answer is not many. LeBron is clear. KD -- looks like it. You have to say Dirk too because he did it. Aside from those guys, I'd say its still up for debate.

It's crazy because Harden was KILLING before the playoffs started.

Like 30/5/8 on 50% 42% from 3 and he's just been terrible these first two games.

What's worse?

Grizz drafting Kevin Love then trading him for OJ Mayo or the Bulls drafting Lamarcus Aldridge and trading him for Tyrus Thomas?
I'll go with C) the Knicks trading the draft picks that ended up being Aldridge and Noah for Eddy Curry.
my man!!

Just like last season in the playoffs, he hasn't adjusted to the refs not rewarding his attempts to get to the foul line.

^Definitely. Instead of just taking it into the paint strong, he attempts to Oscar his way to a call. If you just naturally drive, you're more likely to get a call then trying to act your way into one.

He was responding to a question from one of Memphis's longest-tenured TV sports anchors, Jarvis Greer, that went like this: "Your road record is one of the best in the NBA but talk a little bit specifically about playing here in the Grindhouse against this team."

Westbrook gave Greer a bit of a quizzical look and said, ""You said the FedExForum? That's the name of the arena, right?"

To which, Greer answered in the affirmative. Then Westbrook continued: "Uh, playing at the, uh, FedExForum , it's a good arena, the fans are loud and they cheer on their team and we just gotta come in and play our game."

I heard Courtney Lee was talking wreckless but I can't find the exact quote or a populated Grizzlies blog/board.

GrizzlieBearblues is nice but nobody posts there

Russell Westbrook went 11-for-28 in a 105-111 Oklahoma City loss to the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 2.

The Grizzlies apparently prefer a high usage rate from Westbrook because it limits the number of opportunities Kevin Durant receives.

"We're fine with Westbrook taking shots, I mean, that's kinda what you want - the more shots he takes, the less Durant takes," said Courtney Lee.

I mean, he's not lying :lol .
