Strong cosign, 2 guard is the most shallow position historically and currently. It is Not even closesure maybe, splitting hairs I'm just saying theres a drop off.AI is a top 5 2guard to me though. And while every other position is indeed stronger, there are some tremendous 2 guards that I feel you left out
point is 2 gaurd is a position that is overrated because of two recent popular celebrity stars. kobe jordan but when you dig in your in mitch richmod territory sooner that you thought.
ACB trolling hard in the Rockets thread. its too bad he can't post in here
Naw
he was ghost in the finals. last year no one expected him to win but he didnt have a good series either, people started talking about how he's overrated/not as effective in the playoffs. gets the best center in the league this year, lays two eggs at home to start this years playoffs.Bad in three straight playoffs? Really?hes been bad in three straight playoffs. a bunch of guys in here have said mid season that his game (looking for fouls) will not work in the playoffsEveryone just lets a couple games influence your overall opinion of a player, though.
I get that the playoffs are important.. and if you're awesome all season but suck for four straight games and your team gets bounced.. that's something to notice and comment on. But let's not pretend that James Harden isn't a top guard in the league, because he is. He's awful on defense and struggling right now, but still..
lack of offense, combined with literally 0 effort on defense = not that great of a player
21 PER in 2012 and 2013. Don't let his struggles against Miami make you forget the rest of the playoffs. 17.6 points on 45% shooting (45% from #), 5 rebounds, 3.3 assists on 31 minutes a game through the Western Conference Finals. That isn't bad. No denying his struggles against Miami were killer.. back to back 2/10 shooting games sucked. They were also a young team and he was 22.. so not the end of the world
2013.. no one was going to pick Houston over OKC. He struggled from the field, still got to the line so he was scoring 26 a game on 19 shots. Plus 6.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists. That isn't bad. Sorry..
He's playing terrible right now, no doubt, but yeah.. three straight years is just misleading.
wade's mid range is moneyFunny how out of all the 2 guards listed wade is the only one that can't really shoot. Still one of the best tho
sg and sf are pretty much the same position though
I was about to make a post similar but merge PF and C. The majority of the all time great bigs can play both. The way it goes in my mind in terms of depth is
sg and sf are pretty much the same position though

the overrated talk is warranted. throwing regular season numbers around isnt going to change anyone's minds, its the playoffs and hes the worst player on the floor

He made a thread after Houston lost... then it got deleted.

Bigs
PG
SF
SG
but when talking about the role of the sg and how it lacks depth, guys like lebron, rudy gay, batum, ect do the exact same things and use the same spots on the floor that the high usage sg's donow, but in the past it was more defined because it was easier to isolate an individual defender on the block. Thats why NBA sf's in the past were in general better post players.sg and sf are pretty much the same position though
had me rushing to the thead before he got kicked but i was too lateHe made a thread after Houston lost... then it got deleted.ACB trolling hard in the Rockets thread. its too bad he can't post in here

I saw his trollin in Houston team thread. Funny how a lot of those Annoying Lakers fans are gone after 1 bad season
Julius F. Wrek
but when talking about the role of the sg and how it lacks depth, guys like lebron, rudy gay, batum, ect do the exact same things and use the same spots on the floor that the high usage sg's do
so in the modern game the role is split into two positions, while for example everyone that plays the pg role is listed as a pg
one of the reasons the current sg pool is so shallow
It wasn't ordered obviously you dolt.
There are these things called tiersIt wasn't ordered obviously you dolt.
Wasn't order but you have a huge space between Drexler..... Clown
the position is going to be even thinner now that the smaller sized sgs will just try to be pgs (westbrook, rose) while the bigger ones are already sfsyeah sure, but nobody really does that when comparing positions, maybe they should but they don't.but when talking about the role of the sg and how it lacks depth, guys like lebron, rudy gay, batum, ect do the exact same things and use the same spots on the floor that the high usage sg's do

like we all know that Tim Duncan is basically a C, but he's a power forward on all time lists.
