Positional value is the same thing that overrated bigs like hibbert. We undervalue elite perimeter defenders in todays game. KD had 36, but that was a sloppy and tough 36 he had.

In a leage where the best scorers are from the perimeter, it takes a great defender to deny, and funnel the wings into these beloved "Rim Protectors" we have these days.

The bigs like noah and jordan who can switch out and contain P&R's are extremely valuable.

I think Iggy and Allen are the best perimeter defenders in the game....Bron will get that spot though.

Agreed

jimmy butler should be mentioned here too

Barring some miraculous performance from someone on GSW going forward, I do not see how the Warriors will win another game. I don't think they will honestly.

not really. (also Hibbert started playing poorly when early in the year he was incredible)

Putting Tony Allen on island, effects mainly one player, Kevin Durant, and his impact is even more felt with Scott Drew's non offence. but a great interior defender effects not only his man but everyone who comes into the paint, including those great permiter player and it difficult to scheme against involving a great defensive big man.

The way the rules are constructed there is a limit to how much a effect one guy on the wing can have.

The eye test confirms this, the numbers confirm this, you look at adjusted plus minus, (the bes defensive measurement imo) 90% of the top 40 are bigs, hard to ignore.

Chris Paul is great at defending point guards but interns of overall value, I would give the edge to Rubio, Bledsoe.

Bledsoe is just a freak on that side of the ball and Rubio's size allows him to gaurd more positions.

I would say by tiers.

Bledose
Rubio

Beverly
Paul
Bradley
Holiday.

Wall
Conley
Lowry
No Rondo? **little blue face with the shades on**
