Watching the individual highlight videos that are posted in this thread daily this season made me realize how much of a joke in game stats can be.

Westbrook can pass the ball to Durant, Durant can stare down his defender, take three dribbles, score and Westbrook would be credited with an assist. :lol

what about KD creating an open look for himself (pass by Westbrook) by off ball movement, Hollinger? What stat accounts for the inflated assist numbers?

in stark contrast to when KD passes to him, Westbrook needing to put the ball on the ground and shoot a much less efficient shot than when it is the other way around

i mean, if he runs off the ball and catches and shoots...i just gave you numbers for that. i get the argument you're making as to it's tougher on KD to assist RW because russ isn't as good of a shooter, but there still would be 3 other guys on the court KD can assist to :lol

but like the other guy said, they have different roles. RW is to score and facilitate, KD is to score. as to who's the better "facilitator," it probably just comes down to preference.

keep calling me hollinger though, i like being held in the regard of a VP of basketball operations :)

no doubt, Hollinger. ha. I'm not talking solely about catch and shoot. there are a other scenarios that don't include literally just catch and shoot where a player works to free himself to get a good/open look. I'm not sure how this is even in question considering how robust KD's suite of movement on and off ball is. He's not just catching and shooting. He's scoring all over the court in a bunch of ways.

I already addressed the "3 other guys" statement in the previous post. KD gets the "bums" looks that Westbrook just doesn't do. Who you want to facilitate is a "preference", but it's also the difference between playing on a team that relies primarily on a 2 man or individual game and a team that cannot be game planned against. Its funny because we've seen the past 2 championships won by a team who employs and embodies this exact formula. except with KD at facilitator, they wouldn't be able sag off

honest question: outside of a few of the big televised games, do you actually watch them play? Sounds like you are arguing just to argue.

Mr. VP, can you grab me a stat on Westbrook's assist distribution? I'll go out on a limb and say its 99.9% of the time to KD and Ibaka. Prolly on 82games

He just said his Duke career is incomplete. He might. It'll be funny if he did to make all those tanking bum NBA teams sweat more come draft day.
 
Parker is not coming back. Mormon mission possibly, but dude would be dumber than Smart to do that.

Even if he comes back and wins a title at Duke, it still has nothing to do with his NBA career.

i watch them a decent amount. more than just the nationally televised games for sure (i usually have a bet on them)

i don't have the exact numbers on that, no. but if you could find it, i'd appreciate it. if you could also find KD's assist distribution that would be nice. it's not like lamb, fisher, thabo, perk, etc are ONLY hitting shots when KD passes to them instead of russ :lol

i dont think you get it. when KD passes to those bums he's giving them his godly blessing and allowing them to hit shots, so he gets 100% of the credit. when westbrook passes to anyone thats open credit should go to the guy who got open for moving without the ball rather than westbrook.
