so now should i post kareem and wilts numbers and make this whole thing look silly?

I think the thing with Shaq's career was he left some greatness on the table.

He was good for a month off every season. And he had a few playoff runs at every stop that came to a screeching halt.

Obviously one of the 10-12 best to ever do it, but he could have put even more work in if he really cared too.

it's not about the numbers and who was better....i was answering the question on who was the more dominate big-men of the 3 players...And I chose Shaq. Now i can understand the logic of arguing Wilt was more dominated simply on his superior stats compared to Shaq prime, but then you got to see who played against who and their team's outcome was during those periods.

Coincidence or nah?

If he woulda kept his body in shape, he would be without a doubt the best Center to ever live. Nobody ever had his combination of power/speed/skill/size

We saw what he could be in 2000, one of the greatest seasons by any player ever.

In Shaq's defense, it's probably not easy to walk around at 7'2 and 324 pounds. Then to motivate yourself to engage in full blown workouts every day in the offseason after being butchered all season long. It's so much easier to just type it out, well "he should have stayed in shape more." All of this stuff takes such a physical toll on the body.

miss me with that you think its easy for Kobe to train the way he does?

No but he does because he wants to be great

Shaq didnt want it as much point blank he was content to coast which is fine but im not cutting a man who got paid millions of dollars to be in peak physical condition slack for not being as serious about his craft as he could've been

Definition of Tyson Chandler

Offense- Set a screen and hope for an allyoop, if not, he tips the ball out to the three point line every time, never seen him grab it with two hands and go up with it. He looks like a stick.

I saw Tyson Chandler play as a freshman in high school and I can honestly saw his offensive game is pretty much the same now as it was then. And you have summed it up very accurately.

I COMPLETELY forgot shaq played for cleveland. Damn, can't believe that

Man went on tour after LA :lol

MIA/PHX/CLE/BOS

The only thing I remember about his Cavs tenure is when he said "I'm gonna get The King a ring.". In Boston though, it was pure struggle for him to get rebounds. And his last game, when he was jogging across half court, limped, and slowly fell on the ground like when Kevin Hart was making fun if him, it was both :rollin and :rollin and :{ :{

Yup...I watched dominguez gms during that era....tayshawn/brunner and on to chandler. His gm has not evolved in 15 yrs. Damb shame..I thought he had plenty of upside back in late 98-early 99.

He was 7-2 300 when he entered the league

yea, difference between lean 300 and fat 300 :lol

dude was a freak and a beast. ive always said it, damn shame how he didnt take care of his body. he could have played and dominated much longer.

I remember when I found out that Ty Crane was based of Tyson Chandler in Coach Carter. I just laughed at how much offensive ability they gave that guy

Outside of Miami and LAL, Shaqs career to me is about the phrases

"The Sun shall rise in Phoenix again,

I'm gonna get the king a ring

Call me the Big Shaqrock" :lol

Serious question who were these great big man Wilt (besides Russel)and Kareem were facing?

Serious? "Besides Russell", potentially the goat defensive center. And as if Shaq's prime was boom years for centers in the NBA.

Kobe has never been and could never be as good as Shaq at his best though.

Being 6'6 and weighing 200 pounds is not the same as being 7'2 and 320 pounds. It's apples and oranges.

And I'm willing to wager offseason workouts for a guard/forward would differ from that of a traditional center.

Go rewatch Shaq highlights, that man was getting butchered down in the paint. In his head he probably figured being lean wasn't his best option and decided to add some cushion to absorb the hacking.

shaq has always had questionable work ethic but he still ended up being the best player in the league by far

getting surgery on company time though..
